  1. Who told you they have a no return policy? They'll accept returns within 30 days with a 15% restocking fee. I wouldn't call it a great return policy, but it's better than nothing.
  2. If he doesn't want to spend $250 on a lockpick, I'm guessing he won't want to spend $700 on the NavTV.
  3. I know the badges say Alpine, but does your window sticker say Infinity? I have no doubt that it's an Alpine system, but it's weird that the window stickers all seem to say that they're Infinity speakers.
  4. Please post back if you do go with that bumper protector. I'm curious how well it will fit. I installed the mudflaps and sill protectors. Both are fairly easy to install, but I was surprised that the front door sill protectors actually have to be bent a little bit to follow the subtle contour of the door sill.
  5. Nice ride! It's weird that it has the chrome grill, but body colored door handles. I thought they got chromed together, along with chrome roof rails.
  6. I noticed that behavior and though it was weird. I wonder why they would do that. Maybe just to make the turn signal more visible in the daytime?
  7. You can send a PM to DodgeCares on this forum with the VIN number of a DJ that you're looking at, and he can tell you if it originally came with the tow prep option. Yes, there are several aftermarket hitches you can get that don't involve cutting the bumper. If you go that route, I would recommend U-Haul since their hitches have a lifetime UNLIMITED warranty.
  8. As I suspected, you can't control the video on the iPod if you have the USB plugged into the center console. It puts the iPod into "accessory" mode, which prevents you from controlling music or video. If you want to use the USB for power and still maintain control from the iPod, you would have to plug a USB adapter into the cigarette lighter plug.
  9. Yeah, you still did well. And the light may end up going out if it works the same as the Canadian version.
  10. According to Tire Rack, the 2009 Journey used different TPMS sensors than the 2012, which could very well be the problem. It looks like they're both 433Mhz, so I'm not sure what's different about them. Some Canadian Journey owners have reported that the light will eventually go out and the tire info in the EVIC will just read N/A if the sensors aren't detected. I'm not sure if that will happen on American models though since our government was nice enough to make TPMS a requirement.
  11. I don't think there has been any brake changes since the original 2009 models.
  12. Regardless of whether the bluetooth and Nav modules are related, if the Nav broke while it was in their possession, they're responsible to fix it.
  13. Congrats on the new ride! Where are you seeing an aftermarket rear bumper protector? I've been looking for one, but haven't been able to find one. I did buy the Mopar door sill protectors, but haven't put them on yet.
  14. I don't see why not if it's just a small amount that would need to be shaved. That's probably what the former owner of the wheels did. If you still have his contact info, it's probably worth asking him if he had to do any shaving.
  15. You'd have to select the input through the Lockpick menu in the EVIC, and then control the video from the iPod.
  16. You could plug the USB jack in for power if you want, but it's not going to send video through the USB port. It's possible that plugging in the USB will actually prevent controlling video from the iPod like it does with audio. I'll have to try it and see.
  17. You're dealer is trying to take advantage of you. Mine was $350 installed.
  18. You'll need the Apple Composite AV cable. It will need to plug into the Lockpick. I would recommend extending the composite video cable from the Lockpick to the glove compartment if you're planning on using it that way. I didn't bother since I have composite inputs on the back of the center console. I did, however, run the USB cable from the Lockpick to the glove compartment so I won't have to take the dash apart again to do a firmware update.
  19. They were just sitting in the trunk along with a box that contained the headphones and remote for the rear entertainment system.
  20. I've noticed that my Navigation system has been rebooting randomly. I don't usually leave the screen on the Nav, so it's probably been doing this all along and I never noticed it. On my last trip, I had the Nav screen on and I noticed the map change to the Garmin splash screen and boot up at random times. Since then, I've been leaving the Nav system active so I could keep an eye on it. Today, it rebooted 5 times. It doesn't take more than about 5 seconds to boot back up, but it doesn't always remember that I had a destination set when it comes back, which is annoying. None of the other functions of the Uconnect system seem to be affected. The music keeps playing and the HVAC controls are fully functional while the Nav reboots. Has anyone else experienced this? I do have a lockpick installed, but all of it's functions are currently turned off.
  21. Just double check and make sure they gave you the tow prep wiring parts that came with the car in case you want to do the install later. Mine came with the 4-pin harness, the 4-pin adapter plate, and a rubber cap.
  22. Yeah, the gallery section has no limit on picture sizes, but I think the limit for everywhere else is pretty small. If you wouldn't mind posting a pic to the gallery section, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
  23. I think your pics would still be helpful. If I go with Weathertechs, I'll essentially be converting to a single hook system so it would be the same as yours. But if the coverage is the same as the Huskies, I won't bother. Thanks!
  24. Does anyone have any good pictures of Weathertech front floor mats in their Journey? All the pictures I can find in the forum are Husky, not Weathertech. I currenlty have Husky liners in the front and Weathertech linders in the 2nd row, 3rd row, and cargo area. The Husky liners are pretty good, but I don't love the fit. There's too much of a gap between the edge of the liner and the door sill. The fit of the Weathertechs in the other rows is much better. The reason I went with Huskies for the front was that Weathertech doesn't yet make a front mat with two hook holes. But if the fit is a lot better, I would be willing to move one of the floor hooks. Can somebody with Weathertech front mats please post some pics? Or if anyone can direct me to some pics if they're already posted, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
  25. I noticed this when I test drove a 2011 DJ with 8.4" screen, which disappointed me. But I tried it when I got my 2012 with 8.4, and it doesn't have this problem. I'm not sure if it was a TSB update that fixed the issue or if it's a change in functionality from the 2011 to 2012. I'm also not sure if the same applies to the 4.3 screen.
