In short: IT'S SWEET. (Sorry I don't have a picture to share yet; I took pictures at night and they didn't turn out very well.) It was delivered to the dealership on Tuesday. Since the incentives were changing after Tuesday night, we went and picked it up right away. We got an AMAZING deal! Since my dad is a retired Chrysler engine plant worker, we got a full employee discount, an additional $1,000 bonus employee discount, and $1,750 cash back. The sticker was $34,580; our cost was $28,515 I went ahead and got a 7 year / 70,000 mile / $0 deductible manufacturer warranty; my cost was $1,726. My wife is going to be driving the Journey R/T the most, and only works about a mile from where we live so we didn't need a ton of miles on the warranty. I also got an interior protection package and had Husky winter floor trays waiting for the car when I brought it home. It looks absolutely SICK all (brilliant) blacked out in the R/T trim! I knew that it would look good, but it's an absolute head turner when you add in the satin 19" wheels and rear LED's. The black leather interior with contrasting red stitching looks tastefully sporty. We've already had a few "what is that" questions around town about the car We can't get over the technology built into our new car. AWD, keyless entry / start, 8.4" multimedia / navigation touchscreen with voice recognition to do just about anything, gas prices, sports scores, weather reports, a good sound system... it's GREAT! The things I wish it had available are memory seats, power pedals, rear power lift gate, and a factory hitch (I'm not a big fan of tearing off and cutting the rear bumper on a brand new car). I do realize that this would change the price point of this car, which was one of the reasons why we chose it. The only issue I've noticed so far is that the display doesn't show all of the album art from our connected iPod nano (which I've been told is a known issue). If you're on the fence, GO FOR IT. You won't be disappointed

I decided against it... at least for now. Since our other daily driver already has a hitch and I'm not a big fan of tearing off and cutting the bumper of our brand new car I'm going to wait to do it until I really need it. Our new Journey R/T already has the towing prep package, so it will be an easy add on if we need it in the future. Thanks for your help guys!

So my wife and I picked up our new 2012 Dodge Journey R/T on Tuesday (LOVE IT by the way...), and I'm noticing that when I plug in her iPod nano to the USB port and play music on the 8.4N that only SOME of the album art appears. I know that all of the album art is on the nano, because I see it when I play it on just the nano. Any ideas of why this is?

I found a few (the forum wouldn't let me post the actual pictures for some reason, so here are the links)... are there anymore out there? http://www.dodgejour...t&attach_id=443 http://www.dodgejour...t&attach_id=444 http://www.dodgejour...t&attach_id=445 We already discussed this in the thread that I found these pictures, but you'll notice that the installation can have an off-centered appearance (which might drive me nuts). I'm wondering if it would help aesthetically to cut the opening on the bumper equally off of the center of the vehicle to give the hardware a more centered appearance (this would result with the hitch wiring filling the opening to the left of the hitch, and a blank opening to the right of the hitch). Thoughts?

My 2012 Dodge Journey R/T might be delivered tomorrow, and I need to decide ASAP if I want the dealership to install the Mopar hitch. I'm REALLY nervous about the dealership pulling off the rear bumper and cutting it, so I'd like to see a few examples of what it looks like. I've looked around online and within the forum, but am having a difficult time finding 2011-2012 Dodge Journeys with the NEW rear bumper with the Mopar hitch installed (I know that I've seen them before though...). Can you guys please help me out and post some pictures in this thread if you know of any? (I'm NOT interested in pictures of Journeys that are 2010 or older since they have a different rear bumper, nor am I interested in pictures of other hitch installations.) Thanks for your time and help!

Can you please share some pictures of the installation? My R/T comes in this week and I'd like to see what the vertical hitch installation looks like. Thanks!

Why is it that when I look at window stickers for 2011 and 2012 Dodge Journeys many say that they include "6 Infinity® Premium Speakers with Subwoofer" but when you get inside the car the badging by the speakers says "Alpine"? Here are two window stickers of cars I've seen in person that say "Infinity" on the sticker and "Alpine" inside the car: http://www.Dodge.com/hostc/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=3D4PG3FG0BT506274 http://www.Dodge.com/hostc/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=3C4PDCEG7CT228546
