  1. The oil change monitor wasn't reset after your last oil change and the reason why it came on this soon....just reset it according to the manual instructions and either change it when the message comes back on or better yet keep track of the mileage and change it at the maximum allowable mileage according to the owners manual.
  2. The info is from the Chilton Online Manual.....maybe Journeyman425 who has access to the Dodge service manual could give the correct torque values. Sorry for any confusion.
  3. I don't have the but measurement but here are some torque values if you need: Installation INSTALLATION FRONT HUB AND BEARING MOUNTING Install the hub and bearing (1) by sliding it over the half shaft and into the knuckle. Install the four bolts (2) fastening the hub and bearing (1) to the knuckle (3). Tighten the four bolts to 48 N·m (35 ft. lbs.). Install the brake rotor, disc brake caliper and adapter. (Refer to Brakes/Hydraulic/Mechanical/ROTOR, Brake - Installation) HUB NUT NOTE Always install a new hub nut. The original hub nut is one-time use only and should be discarded when removed. Clean all foreign matter from the threads of the half shaft outer C/V joint. Install the hub nut (1) on the end of the half shaft (2) and lightly tighten it. While a helper applies the brakes to keep the hub from rotating, tighten the hub nut (1) to 160 N·m (118 ft. lbs.). TIRE AND WHEEL MOUNTING Install the tire and wheel assembly (1) (Refer to 22 - Tires and Wheels - Installation). Install and tighten wheel mounting nuts (3) to 135 N·m (100 ft. lbs.). Lower the vehicle.
  4. I think you have to remove the intake manifold to access them.
  5. Found this in the owners manual for the 2011's... Be Reasonable With Requests If you list a number of items and you must have your vehicle by the end of the day, discuss the situation with the service advisor and list the items in order of priority. At many authorized dealers, you may obtain a rental vehicle at a minimal daily charge. If you need a rental, it is advisable to make these arrangements when you call for an appointment. I would say that in a situation of taking over a week to repair to take them to small claims court stating that the time they took was unreasonable and that they should be on the hook for the unnecessary rental charges. Keeping the vehicle sitting in their shop for days even over a week not even being worked on. I still think that if it is the manufacturers fault (which it is) they should on the hook 100% of the cost....I have a feeling that a judge would see it that way too unless this has been brought up before with Chrysler winning. Also, if I had to pay for my rental......once that vehicle has been repaired I would sell it for another make and write them off.as a bad experience. I have a very low tolerance level for mickey mouse business tactics like that.
  6. Wow, that is some scary shite! This is why I do my own maintenance and don't bother having the dealer do it.
  7. The Journey or Khumo tires? I really don't know anyone that would buy another set of Khumo tires. Everyone that has them stock on their car always comment on how crap they are.
  8. Yes, lubricate the guide pins and lubricate where the pads make contact with the clips just like in the pic here: Also, starting Friday ATE pads are going for 50% off at CanTire....I think I'll get a set of front pads and store them when needed next time. The rears I have from the last special.
  9. Love the look of it...congrats! Welcome to the forum.
  10. Well said JK! Routine fluid checks may also avoid starting threads that your dipstick is dry. For me after a certain mileage if the oil gets a little too dark for my liking I'm changing the oil regardless if the OC indicator lights up or not.
  11. I'm guessing that they just want to confirm that the radiator cap on their Journey is the original.
  12. 4 hours of idling must have given a pretty good fuel consumption number on the EVIC.

    Hi all.

    Bienvenue/Welcome to the forum 5zigen!!
  14. Yup, I must say that I'm pretty happy with the fuel consumption too. Although, if Dodge (Fiat) wants to improve it to even better numbers who am I to argue with that.
  15. Welcome to the forum Woah322!!
  16. Sorry for the double post. Jkeaton, could you delete the one thread?
  17. I stumbled upon this and thought it would be useful for any DIY's who are thinking of doing there own coolant flush. http://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/2010_Dodge_Journey_SXT_3.5L_V6/coolant_antifreeze/flush_coolant

  19. Hi Austin Scarano.....welcome to the forum!!! As the others have already mentioned have the engine light checked out or have it taken to the dealer asap to avoid any further damage. Please report back with any news on what the issue was as it will help other members (including me) that may run into the same problem.
  20. Here is a good read on you AWD service light.....http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/4356-service-awd/ BTW welcome to the forum!!
  21. Most likely a parasitic draw on the battery that drains it. Here is an excellent how to video if you would like to find what the culprit is on your own:
  22. With all of the factors given I would say that is quite decent. As Bigtsr mentioned a little slower and the fuel consumption would be better. I averaged 7.8 L/ 100 km last year to Florida.
