DodgeCAcares, The problem hasn't happened since. I use my cruise often and it's only done it twice in the whole year and a half I've owned it. I will keep an eye on it rhough. I'm up to 67000s already and that's the only issue I've ever had with the vehicle.

Also, I didn't pay $1325 for that stereo. I don't know why they're listing it as if they sold it at that price. I paid $500. -

Hey guys, So I ordered a stereo from EBay to upgrade my RE2 to the RB5. It's en route from Georgia right now. The seller is stating that it has navigation so I went ahead and ordered it. I'm trying to look up the part number they have listed to see if in fact it is an RB5 model. Can anybody tell me if I have the right stereo coming to me. I'm having a hunch that I may not be getting the right one. Thanks, http://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/e11401.m1842.l3160/7?euid=a3355e50fc5a427e93bab0b965d04ab2&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Febaymotors%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D380745919800%26ssPageName%3DADME%3AL%3AOU%3ACA%3A3160

Mine did the exact same twice in the past two weeks. I have to drive about 10-15 minutes before it "wakes up". The last time, I stopped playing with it and actually forgot about it then all of a sudden the main cruise light appeared in the display in the middle of the gauge cluster. I didn't bother bringing it in since I know it's hard to pinpoint a problem when it actually works. Let me know if there is a fix. If it becomes an issue, I would like to bring it in before the warranty ends.

Towing Questions for a Newbie (Journey 2012)
alainbock replied to Estoyloco's topic in Hauling & Towing
I'm just disappointed to see a Dodge Grand Caravan that is able to tow 3600 lbs...lol -
I also tow a trailer close to the max towing weight and when I travel out on the highway. Most of the time, the transmission shift perfect but sometimes hunts annoyingly in hills or on windy days, I use the autostick to lock it down unto 5th gear and it's perfect. When I see a hill approaching, I put it back into Drive to make sure the transmission selects the right gear going uphill.

deer in headlights...
Images added to a gallery album owned by alainbock in Dodge Journey Member Albums
As I was coming home from work from my 1 hr commute, I was coming around a curve going downhill at about 100 km/h, and there it was...a deer just on the side of the road about ready to jump unto the roadway. I had two options: either take the ditch or veer into oncoming traffic which neither was a feasible option. I slammed on the brakes and gripped the steering wheel real tight, and the deer decided to jump. The ABS kicked in smoothly as did the stability control and I was able to keep the Journey on track. I hit the deer with the corner of the car (passenger side) while I was still going about 90 km/h. As I hit the deer, a warning light came on saying left "signal light out". The deer was projected into the ditch and I was able to slowly rest the DJ unto the side of the road. I parked the vehicle on the side of the road, swore a bit and proceeded to go check on the deer. The deer lasted another 5 minutes. Coming back to my car, I noticed the damages all $8800 worth. :( Called the police, got the car towed back to my hometown and got it repaired by an amazing body shop (Basco collision centre) in Sudbury. Considering the damages, the wait for the Journey to get repaired was about 4 weeks. I proceeded to get a rental of which consisted a Dodge RAM, which was an amazingly beautiful truck but was a pig on gas. The rental place had no other cars so I was stuck with the RAM for a while. Finally, during the 2nd week of my rental, they called me to say they had a car which was a Corolla. Ugh! Really?? ... Finally, 4 weeks later, I got my Journey back which I am happy with despite it being repaired. Couldn't be any happier with it. -
