Found out that the there was different software for vehicles made before July and after July. My Journey was made after July. Dodge sent the correct navagation system software to the installer and now the problem is solved. Yaaaaa Hooooooo!!!! Hope this can help if anyone else runs into this issue.

Navagation system was installed, and for the 2nd time the center console went black, and I had no control over heat, radio, or navagation. Returned to installer, claimed software issue. Worked for 4 days and same issue returned. Any advice on this issue will be helpful. Can't keep taking back to installer, costing me money from my job. Anyone else with this issue?
