Bought a used 2010 Journey 8 months ago from a local Dodge dealer. After the first oil change we noticed a tapping noise in the engine. Next oil change we asked about it & they said bring it back when they have time to look at it. When we did they said its normal. When the engine RPM increases, the tapping noise is faster too. We asked a non-dealer mechanic if this sounded normal; he said "No, it sounds like rocker arm noise". When we took it back to the dealer, they had i a couple days. The engine seemed quieter for about 1 day, then back to tapping. The dealer mechanic report says "Rocker arm assembly - Replace 3.5 - 4.0 liter engine - Both heads (B)". After looking at the engine compartment, there is no evidence of anything being worked on in the engine compartment.
Today the tapping is even louder. We are due for an oil change now & wonder if we should take it in to the dealer for more BS.
