I got a call earlier and scheduled for next Thursday. My car is well over 20,000 miles now. I hope I do not need to keep going back year after year. This would surely hinder my decision in buying Dodge in the future. This is only my second car, my first being a Caliber-2007..I traded it in for the Journey. What other damage can the bad rotors have on my suspension? I read that it can affect the calipers, but what else? The last thing I want to be replacing is ball joints or something harder. Yea, I can do it myself but it takes me days! lol Plus I don't even have a book for this car since its still 'brand new' to me.

They were supposed to have gotten the rotors yesterday, but no ones called me yet.

From the album: Mine
Some Jerkball gave my purdy lil Journey a booboo while we were on vacation. How much you think it will cost to fix it? -

Some Jerkball gave my purdy lil Journey a booboo while we were on vacation. How much you think it will cost to fix it? I already poped that back in place but the bumper is bent and doesnt align right. Also underneith right there is some other plastic clip thing that messed up. -
We made it to Fl, going back(1000miles) in a few days. I got a call from 'corporate' they are giving me 2 year free oil changes for the 'inconvience'. New rotors should be at the dealer on the 12th... I'll update. Current odom: 19298 mi

2011 has had some great trips. In just under 1 year I put 18,000 miles on it. Several 1000 mile trips we're generous to us. Averaging 15-19 city but 26-29 hwy.

My vehicle had 17,900 miles on it.They are going to replace all 4 rotors and brakes "under warranty"....when they get the parts. They are on back order... I'm driving my shaky ass car 1000miles for Vacation in a week, I doubt they will have the parts by then.

There is no squeeling and my brake pads dont need replaced. It's just the rotors. I'm taking the car in today, ill update when we get back.

I called my dealer "someone is going to call me back"...I called corporate dodge... "a case manager is going to call me back". I bitched them out. SORRY! But I do not plan on replacing my Rotors EVERY YEAR!

My Journey will be 1 year old on Monday...I recently took it in to a shop for an oil change and tire rotation and they say my rotors need replaced due to severe scoring. I've looked online about this issue and apparently it's common in the journey and to be honest...IM PISSED!!!!! To have to replace this after 1 year? Does that mean I need to replace them EVERY YEAR? I had my Dodge Caliber for over 3 years it had over 40k miles when I traded it in and I never once had to replace ANYTHING! So...My question is...What do I do? Raise some hell @ the dealer? They did an inspection in March and I can 100% guarantee they saw the scoring and didn't tell me about it. My steering wheel has been shaking when I brake for MONTHS!

Went back for the 4th time last week, they finally had all the parts. (apparently when they replace the shifter thing -$100- they also need to replace the knob..the knob is sold separately and they didnt know this) Anyway, this place seems really great, friendly, always had coffee, juice, cakes, cookie and brownies for you to snack on..important when you bring a 3 year old along. On top of getting them to do my state emissions/safety inspection...i up'd my ante and said "so i get a free oil change, for coming back 4 times right?".

2011 Dodge Journey Pentastar fuel economy
dodgemommaz replied to Defender007's topic in Fuel Mileage
We average 16 mpg city, and up to 29 mpg HWY (drove a few 1000 mile trips) -
I mentioned this in my other "Stick Shifter Sticking" thread... But I took my Journey in last week when I noticed a POP/CLUNK in the front end when I put it in Drive. Turns out (so they say) there were 2 improperly Torqued Tranny Mounts, causing them to 'pop out' hence the clunk. First you heard of this? Btw...its a 2011..got it new Last June, put 14,070 miles on it as of this week.

Went back to the dealer Wednesday, they did my state emissions and safety inspec. (Free). I told them that I wanted my shifter to be smooth as one of the Journey's sitting out on the lot so they "looked into it". Ended up ordering a new one, so I'll be going back ~ next week.

We got our journey last summer, traded up from my dodge caliber. Took the journey on a 3000 mile drive the first 3 weeks we had it. Haha. Eight months later we just hit 14,000 miles!!

I'm 28-stay home mom, hubby is 32 optical engineer phd. We have 2 boys (3 and 5), possibly more in the future. I traded in my '07 dodge caliber last summer for the larger journey. I like the 7 seats without having to get a mini van.

I took my 2011 Journey in last week when I noticed a few problems...First was my stick shifter getting stuck on the way back when i wanted to put it in drive. It gets stuck right around the bend @ Reverse. Then I noticed (after jiggling it and getting it in drive) a POP-CLUNK from the front end. Of course at this point im thinking transmission. Anyway....I take it in, they say the clunk was from 2 transmission mounts improperly torqued..they fix it. Then the guy tells me that the shifter is just like that i should press it towards the left when putting it in gear....so im like ok. Well guess what IM NOT OK with that actually so im taking it back. I would just like some thoughts from you guys/gals. is this a common issue?
