Hopefully...because I have a 2011 which uses the same bin design as the 2012 and the 2010.... Hopefully an onslaught of felt tape will save the day!

My noise is coming from the bin itself. If I open the bin and press on the inside of the bin it creaks. It only happens with pressure. It is the bin itself and the surrounding plastic components in my case.

What is required to install these? Are they plug and play? Where do you put the ballast? -
Got the LED bright fogs in
chryslerguy replied to Moparman's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Looks awesome! A few questions: So all of the trimming and modifications needed are only done to the bulb, not the stock harness? How do you access the fog lights? Could you take a close up of the bulb in the housing with it off? I would like to see how it looks! Did you have to re-aim the headlights or do the HID's not blind people? -
Did anyone notice when someone is sitting in the passenger seat with the storage bin it creaks when going over bumps and such. It sounds as iff the various plastics that make up the bin are rubbing against each other. Try sitting in it and rocking around to see what I mean. Very annoying!

Not sure if all of you are aware...but the issue is apparently being addressed on later build dates: http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/index.php?/topic/3062-12s-with-awd-have-bigger-brakes/

I feel the same way as well, the glove box and ESPECIALLY the rear hatch stuck out like a sore thumb from the stock LED's everywhere else. I ordered 42mm led bulbs and it looks great although they are a bit cooler (blue) than the other stock led's. (I think I noted someone else saying the same thing.) The stock LED's are a bit warmer so this will be tough to avoid but its hard to notice unless you scrutinize it and the difference is minimal considering the difference from the yellowish regular bulbs is much greater. The 194 bulbs fit perfect in the glove box although it was tough to grip the stock bulb. I would recommend going with a multi-directional 194 since the the bulb is on the side of the glove box and you want to make sure it gets in there. A top facing bulb won't work well in this scenario. Still need to do the plate bulbs! GOOD LUCK!

What type of Freemont do you have? FWD or AWD? Which engine? -
Anyone try these foglight bulbs?
chryslerguy replied to Moparman's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Look sweet! Please post pictures when installed! Before, after, and close up of how this cool bulb looks in the stock housing! I was looking at these http://www.tunersdepot.com/Lighting/Fog-Lights--Vehicle-Specific-/X3--LED-Fog-Lights---09-10-Dodge-Journey-94874.html -

What is different? The rotors, calipers and pads? -

Yes it is a 2011 R/T AWD w/3rd row seats. I wonder what the warranty is on the brakes, because if they go bad prematurely within that period I would request they use the updated models that are more appropriate for the vehicles size. It is no secret that this is and has been an issue with these vehicles. The dealer already replaces all 4 discs and pads at around 5,000 miles. -
12s with AWD have bigger brakes
chryslerguy replied to Moparman's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
I understand it is an improvement but were talking brakes here...my AWD R/T has smaller ones and if they made them larger to make them more efficient at stopping due to the larger weight I feel a bit shorthanded and uncomfortable. I already had all of them replaced once due to squeaking. I know they have premature wear as well and I have loads of brake dust on my wheels. I hope it is not for safety reasons. Since you are a Chrysler tech, could you inquire on this? Thanks!
