Its an exhaust resonance, when the torque convertor partially locks, mine does it also. Once u get up a few more klicks, it dissappears? I'm betting there will either be a flash to raise shift point a touch, or some kind of damper for the exhaust. We,ve had no complaints about it at work, but have noticed it on mine, and one other 12 I drove for a few days before buying ours.

Got the LED bright fogs in
Moparman replied to Moparman's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Got the HIDs from these guys http://www.ddmtuning.com/Product-Categories/HID-Kits-Lighting/HID-Kits Might try these guys next time, supposed to be one of the best out there http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=3956 Installed myself, I'm a Tech at a dealer. Not really hard to do though, if your comfortable with a bit of wiring. I'm from Belleville actually :-) -
I'll also add , that I don't think it has the torque to pull in 3 cyls in a journey/grand cherokee/van.....maybe in a 200/avenger. I notice mine doesn't take much of a grade on the highway, to drop down a gear or 2.

Yeah thats old......but last time I was at school, there was no date on either that or direct injection. As is sits right now, it can't do either without mods

The 3.6 doesn't support deactivation, not sure where you heard that.

Sorry that was meant for toknow/mwg. People don't seem to get that all oil is NOT the same, just because its the "right" weight. I would say 90% of any oil buring complaints we get(and there isn't that many) all come down to wrong oil/extended intervals. If you use the wrong oil, and then push the oil changes further than your supposed to, your gonna stick the rings, seen it many times.

I had the parts guys look into getting me a hitch from another dealer today. The backorder # had gone from about 2500 , down to a bout 250. And there is also a new part # coming,(shows a supersedance coming), as to what if anything will be different, hard to say.

Did you read my post above?

Well I have no idea about the diesels, we can't get them here. But diesel is a whole differnt ballgame than a gas motor. Diesel, add more feul, they make more power , to a point. Not so with gas. -

Just tried them in the dark....noticeably brighter, very happy with them. -
Are you using the correct oil? 10w30 meeting the Chrysler specs? That said some 3.5s do use some oil, and never seem to get worse. If it has many miles, you might also want to change the PCV valve, make sure you use OE
-
Hey Caper, got a part # of the hitch off your bill? Parts guys at work say they can't get me a hitch for possibly months, backordered. Yet I see people getting them put on. Want to make sure they are looking up the right #. Your right aftermarket hitches look like CRAP.

These are what they look like if ebay link quits working -
The LED fogs I posted about awhile ago showed up Here's who I bought them from http://www.ebay.com/...2ee83a7&vxp=mtr Look like decent quality, guess we'll see how they last. Very close match to 4300k HID headlights I put in. Quite a bit brighter to look at, haven't drove at night yet. You have to trim some little locating tabs on them, as they are not 100% match to OE bulbs, but thats the way it is if you want something bright instead of awful stock ones. Trim 2 spots to fit bulb in housing, and one to fit plug on. Compare to OE and you'll see what I mean. Just use a sharp razor blade. Plug also will not latch on, but does go on and seal correctly, so I just threaded a small stainless screw in , that sits against plug and bulb. I'll update after a night drive. Took pics with 1 new, and one OE so you could see difference. I have tried MANY LED fogs, and these are the only ones I have seen that are this bright, rest are a waste of time.

Noise after oil change at the dealership
Moparman replied to TommySam's topic in Engine & Transmission
Its not a noise from lack of oil, sounds like something got left under hood(funnel??)and fell down and was rubbing on belt.- 12 replies
