Have you guys checked your power steering fluid level? My DJ is a little over 1 year old and I just noticed the fluid has slowly gone below the minimum level line over the year. Not sure how it lost it, but it's a very small amount. Guess I need to head to the dealership to get some power steering fluid.

those with fuel level issues
onecrazyfoo4u replied to b1pig's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
I don't know, they just did whatever the TSB said to do. I may be wrong, but I thought it was the whole fuel pump assembly. Doesn't matter though since it didn't fix a darn thing. -
You really should use the latch system...much better than seatbelts. If you don't think its tightening enough, then kneel (put all your weight) on the car seat while tightening. That's how I do it and they are rock solid.

those with fuel level issues
onecrazyfoo4u replied to b1pig's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
I had the TSB done about 6 months ago...didn't fix anything for me. The replaced the entire fuel pump assembly, and the first tank went up to full. After that, everytime I fill up, the pump clicks off at 7/8 tank. If I try to top it off very slowly I can get slightly above 7/8 (about 1/2 gallon more in). I can never get to full. The TSB "fix" was a joke...don't bother wasting your time at the dealer. -
Sirius Radio renewal
onecrazyfoo4u replied to rolly's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
I get "renew for 6 months for only $20" letters in the mail all the time. I refuse to pay to listen to music. So I just bluetooth pandora for free. There's just as many commercials on pandora as there was on Sirius, so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything... -
You can feel the vehicle shake slightly and briefly at a specific speed range or in a specific gear.

I beat you all so far...43k miles on my 2012. Bought it new in April 2012. I know, we drive a lot . Perfect vehicle so far...the only issue we've had with the drivetrain was the clunky transmission shift (that the new computer flash fixed), and the cylinder #2 misfire (known TSB to replace the cylinder head due to bad cooling).

Right accessories for 2012 black journey r/t
onecrazyfoo4u replied to Chris1276's topic in Accessories, Modifications
Why not just spray the tail lights with VHT night shades? That's what I've done in the past to get tinted tailights. Just personal preference, but I won't be spraying the tail lights on my DJ, I like the way the look stock (at least in 2012+ years). -
Right accessories for 2012 black journey r/t

Your vehicle looks beautiful! I'm totally jealous. I have the same color vehicle, except still have chrome everything. Did you use plastidip on the grill and wheels? I imagine you could do the same to the door handles, plastidip or spray paint them. How did you do the two strips? I love it! -
Oil change Synthetic or regular oil?
onecrazyfoo4u replied to Maverick24's topic in Maintenance & D.Y.I.
I'm at 40k miles almost (which will be my 6th oil change: 4k, 8k, 16k, 24k, 32k, 40k miles). Used mobile 1 synthetic since day one with the oem filters. Not a single problem. I've used mobile 1 on all my vehicles the past decade though and never had a problem. Did the 2013 go to a 10k oil change interval? My car reminds me every 8k and that's what my manual says. -
What a freaking A-hole. I'm always scared of being hit by some fool without insurance. So now you have to submit it to your insurance and your rates will go up because some idiot was driving illegally. Feel sorry for you man.

2013 journey alignment problems
onecrazyfoo4u replied to wdmartin1's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
I would definitely file a lemon law complaint/lawsuite. Make them give you a new vehicle of the exact same specs. That is just ridiculous. Never had mine aligned after 1.5years of driving. Still on the stock tires at 38k miles (although almost time for new ones). Nice even wear. -
Just my preference, but I would use foaming seat cleaner for it since it's made for the job. Who knows what the window cleaner will do to the seat (stain it, degrade it in the long run, etc).

I use to get 26 or so average. But lately I've been getting only 23mpg. Same driving style, 80% highway, lots of mountains and strong head winds. I've tried different gas stations but its the same deal. I'm wondering if gas in southern California up'd the amount of ethanol? But there's no way to find out because the pumps don't say how much ethanol is in the gas. I'm thinking my mileage went down ever since the dealer replaced the cylinder head for the TSB problem with cylinder #2...

I put a k&n in about 6 months ago. Didn't really notice any extra power, mpg, or noise. At least it'll pay for itself in the long run though. Did you remove that silly little tube/clamp inside the air box? I took it out cause it had fallen off anyways...

For LED fog lights, these are probably the brightest that you'll be able to find: http://www.amazon.com/iJDMTOY-Replacement-Lights-Daytime-Running/dp/B008BN9O1Y/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1JWY71SHQ82FV&coliid=IL41L18GMK1V0 There's many other cheaper options, but they don't light the road up at all.

What Did You do to your Journey Today
onecrazyfoo4u replied to guls's topic in Accessories, Modifications
Cleaned up a Sonic milkshake that my kids spilt all over the floor mats in the back seat. Times like this I wished I had some nice protective floor mats, lol. -
I actually just ordered the same exact tire as you, size and type. They seem to be highly rated with great mileage, quite on the road, and grip. Are you liking yours so far?

I just trace some cardboard and cut a 19" circle out. Then rig a little duck tape handle. Ghetto, but works the same and its free!

Seems like this one would match the chrome accents on the vehicle better...

I have an obsession with cleaning this car
onecrazyfoo4u replied to Journeyman425's topic in Appearance
You guys need to have some kids . I don't have time to wash/wax my DJ that often. Maybe once every other month if I'm lucky... -
I had the TSB fix on my DJ a few months ago (replaced the fuel pump since gas gauge would only go to 7/8 full). Well now I go to just above 7/8 on every fill up. So the TSB didn't solve the problem anyways, just let me add close to another gallon in on each fillup. I'm still missing out on close to 2 gallons I think. The most I've ever been able to put in the tank is just under 18 gallons...and that was after driving with the gas empty light on for about 10 miles or so.

Undercoating and does it quiet the interior noise
onecrazyfoo4u replied to adelorme's topic in Accessories, Modifications
I'm surprised. The DJ is one of the most quiet vehicles I've ever driven. Can't imagine you would want it even more quiet!
