those with fuel level issues
onecrazyfoo4u replied to b1pig's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
I'm still not too hopefully as the original service bulletin was supposed to be out July 1st.... -
Don't go Nissan then. My old Sentra was in the dealership at least one a month....sometimes they decided to cover it under warranty, sometimes the decided I should pay for the big bills. I would be very hesitant to own another Nissan...

Okay so it's July 13th...where's the fix? What is it? -
What are the dimensions on the generic bumper cover? There's lots of cheap generic brand covers out there...just need to know the dimensions that will work. Does the PowerFlow one bend or arc at all or is it perfectly flat?

First service trip at 4500 miles

I just don't understand the reasoning for replacing it. I can't find any info on that recall number... -

I'm surprised no one has any input??! Has anyone ever heard of the PCM being replaced for a recall? -

onecrazyfoo4u replied to onecrazyfoo4u's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
So do you guys think they didn't service the brakes at all? I popped open my hood and there's a sticker that states the PCM was replaced with a used one. What the freak is up with that? -
So I had to take her in for the first dealer trip and I've only owned it 2 months. Tires were out of balance since day one. Took them 3 tries and 4.5 hours to get the stupid things balanced properly. Anyways, at least they fixed that. Told them I had the same old brake pedal shimmering when lightly pushed (sign of a warped rotor). Not sure what they did, I can't interprit the paper. I have a feeling they didn't do anything. Looks like they also did a recall but didn't tell me what. Do you guys know?

Yeah, the first oil change light will be sooner than normal. It's the breakin oil, you want to get rid of that a lot quicker and put fresh stuff in there. Mine came on at right around 4,000miles...but I do 90% highway driving is probably why mine was a bit later than yours. After that you can do the every 8000mile oil changes like the manual says.

Oh you're right, duh. Nevermind, no problem with that design . -
2012 DJ Air Filter questions
onecrazyfoo4u replied to onecrazyfoo4u's topic in Engine & Transmission
Good point, I'll see if it's any louder. Did your stock air filter have 2 strips of yellow glue on it? I was somewhat concerned after seeing that, since it seems the glue could come off easily and get sucked into the intake manifold (possibly causing damage). Seems like a bad air filter design... -
My guess would be because the 3rd row is the end of the A/C tubing...it's recieving much more force than the 2nd row which is just T'd off the main tubing. I've never checked, I'll have to check out my 2012 DJ. I didn't know Canada could get up to 104! I thought that was only for us here in the Mojave desert!

2012 DJ Air Filter questions
onecrazyfoo4u replied to onecrazyfoo4u's topic in Engine & Transmission
Okay cool. Just wierd that they put that pointless piece there. Seems more restrictive if anything. I shall be trimming it out tonight! -
So while doing my oil change for the first time last night (which was super easy btw), I decided to pull and clean the air filter. When I opened it up I saw that this little fabric hose thing had blown off the tube and was sitting sideways. What is the point in this little tube? Seems totally unnecessary, as air gets to the filter no matter what. If anything, this was more of a hindrence since it was sitting sideways blocking most of the air intake. Can we just take this out?

4900 Km trip Ontario to Cape Breton...See Facts....
onecrazyfoo4u replied to caperinmuskoka's topic in Fuel Mileage
Wouldn't you want to convert it to US gallons (not imperial) for us USA folks? That would be 235.21/10.12L/100km = 23.24 US mpg. What countries use imperial gallons? -
Dude, that would be freaking sick, I'd love a bolt on turbo kit!

Wow, that does look really good. Would be nice if they had an actual part number so we could all order it! -
Journey or what?.................
onecrazyfoo4u replied to erbch's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Competing Products
I was talking about a 100k mile warranty like Dodge. Ford did not offer that at least in the past. Not sure currently though. -
Journey or what?.................
onecrazyfoo4u replied to erbch's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Competing Products
No problem. Maybe they are fixed nowadays, but $3k for a new tranny was not fun. At least the journey has a 100k warranty to cover problems in the future. -
Journey or what?.................
onecrazyfoo4u replied to erbch's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Competing Products
Same here, we used to have an 03 Escape. Inlaws have an 05 Escape. Never was impressed with them, really cheap interior, super noisey ride. Transmission went out on both them around the 100k mile mark. I would take a Journey any day over another ford. -
I'm thinking we may have this plague too. 2012 Crew model. At high speed everything is fine. When going slower ~40mph, sometimes the pedal/wheels will shudder. Do you think this is a brake problem? It only happens occasionally (once per week). Definitely doesn't happen that often, but enough to make me want to have the dealer check it out.

I got the bulbs in. All are very high quality, great stuff. The rear cargo bulbs are super bright. Same with the glove box and license plate lights. The backup bulbs had a bit of a hiccup though. The way the ddm 3156 bulbs are made, the connections are too short I had to pull the wires out a bit so that they would reach the dodge connections. The stock bulb connector is probably 1/4" longer. Anyways, got them working. Not too impressed on the brightness...you would think 420 lumens would be super bright. I may look for something even brighter then.

Got the LED bright fogs in
onecrazyfoo4u replied to Moparman's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Wow, 7W LED fog lights are pretty high up there. No wonder they're much brighter! Good to hear, I may have to get some of these! -
Nope mine sure doesnt'...I have leather seats if that makes a difference.
