I don't use mine unless it's extremely cold out, but it has worked well. Like Red said it works from at least 100 yards. Your dealer sounds like a bit of a jerk, he should have told you what he did. If you have another dealer in the area, you should try them out.

I have the Weathertech in-channel wind deflectors for my front windows and haven't had a problem with noise. I don't know if having the ones for the back windows would make a difference though.

We ordered our Journey September 10th 2013 and we took ownership on December 10th 2013. Our salesperson kept us up to date during the whole process. Anticipation!
