  1. Happy Easter and don't put all your Easter Eggs in one basket!
  2. As I said previously I wanted the Pearl White Tri-Coat because I liked the satin finish look but my wife wanted the copper and at the time was not so popular. She wanted something distinctive, which by the way is not the case now. We opted for the beige interior which is a rarity and offers a nice balance with the darker colour. Don't get me wrong, I I love the copper- actually the DJ is great in any colour. The copper just pops when it's just cleaned but it really shows the dirt. I just love Terry's DJ, it looks so classy. My first car, a 1966 Dodge Coronet was white- hard to forget your first love LOL!!!!
  3. I don't doubt that Chrysler takes customer service seriously. That wasn't my point. I think they have to do a better job of policing some of their dealers. Many of the complaints that forum members complain about can be traced to treatment from the dealers. The best training in the world doesn't guarantee a successful outcome. Part of the problem I believe, is some dealers spend too much time selling and pressuring customers to buy unnecessary services and that alienates consumers. That was one of the reasons I sought out another dealer from the one that I had purchased six vehicles from previously. I wouldn't buy any product but Chrysler, but I know many people who would just get turned off on the product and go elsewhere and there's absolutely no gain in that either. By the way I'm very pleased with the service my new dealer is providing. This good relationship has already paid off for them because my niece also bought a new car from them and soon two more members of my family will follow suit. Playing nice has it's benefits!

    New to me 2012

    Welcome to the forum Rick!
  5. The towing capacity for the 4 cylinder Journey is 1,000 pounds. Locally we have a Disposal company that offers public access to their weight scales to assist in determining compliance with Ministry of Transport rules. Check your yellow pages to see if there is someone in your location providing this service. Good luck.
  6. It amazes me that there is so much of a difference in the service provided by dealers and Chrysler doesn't address the problem. There's nothing worse than having a dealer that fails to make customer service a priority. I know there are some customers that are a pain in the butt and are never satisfied, but I think for the most part we just want the same treatment after the purchase as before. Chrysler and all other car companies really stand to lose sales because of inept or lackadaisical dealer service. Journeyman425 is a great example of a dealer representative that gets it. It's a shame others haven't figured it out!
  7. I just checked Tire Rack for best recommendations and four of the five tires on the list were T rated. I guess Tire Rack thinks that they fit the Journey to a "T"!
  8. I think Lobitz68 makes a good point of over thinking the engineers decision process on tires. Considering that the Fiat which is nowhere near the same size or weight of the Journey, also has H rated tires and some even V rated. I think economics and less variety to assist in uniform assembly to eliminate assembly errors plays into the decision more than engineering influence. I don't know, but I suspect that the H rating is the lowest rating that are used to equip Dodge products. I think if they were building cars designed for the high speeds of the Autobahn, H rated tires wouldn't even be acceptable. In most jurisdictions that most of us drive in, the legal speed limits would deny us the opportunity to drive consistently at the high speeds that European drivers might experience. I could see a police cruiser having a much higher speed rating because of the need for pursuit capabilities. I haven't seen any Journeys either in marked or unmarked cruisers yet LOL.
  9. Check to make sure you have enough fuel. If your fuel level is too low it will only run for a short time.
  10. Spring is here and summer is on the way- time to make a journey. What's your favorite cruising song? One of my favorites is Born to be Wild- gets my motor running!!!
  11. Welcome Sean and congratulations!
