  1. Check your owners manual. The maximum towing capacity for the Journey with the 2.4 L is 1,000 pounds.
  2. Geez, what do you drive on Sundays?
  3. Did you find out what it was?
  4. In Canada we have to have DRL's, so every Journey has that capability. We've had several forum members that have had the same problem, but it's doable. One of the forum members, Journeyman425 could probably help you. He never sleeps LOL, so he's on the site often so I'm sure he'll be able to help you. We also have DodgeCares (Regina) who monitors this site as well who should be able to help.
  5. Welcome to the forum. You made a wise choice. If you do a lot of highway driving you're in for a treat. My brother-in-law has the 2.4 and he's quite happy with it.

That's something I haven't done in years. Like everyone else I'm waiting for spring, then I'll be hitting the river for perch and pickerel (walleye to our American cousins).
  7. That shouldn't be a problem. Even without the oil cooler, I think you can still tow up to 1,000 pounds.
  8. Be careful it may affect your warranty. I ordered the tow package on our Journey but we have the 3.6. In Canada we can't order the tow package on the 2.4. What are you going to tow? With the 3.6 engine and the towing package our towing capacity is 2500 pounds.
  9. Oops I guess I should have noticed the red sill. Nobody will ever confuse me with Sherlock Holmes LOL!

At my age, I like seeing my breath. It shows that everything is still working LOL!
  11. Hi Terry, looks great. It looks like you have the tan interior? We got the tan interior in ours because we wanted something different. When we got our Journey we ordered the Copper Pearl Coat ( I wanted the Pearl White but lost the debate) because it was unique at the time. Now it's quite common. They mostly have the black interior, so at least the interior sets apart from the pack. By the way, I love your Journey it's absolutely eye catching!
  12. Are you in the U.S. or Canada? We have Dodge reps- DodgeCares (U.S.) and DodgeCaresCA (Canada) who can help. We also have Journeyman 425 who works for a dealer and they all give excellent support. Maybe they can chime in.
  13. Do you have another dealer you can go to? I've never had a dealer ask for a a deductible, never mind one for $150.00.

You're not kidding, that's certainly a great incentive! The few times I used my remote start I noticed a dramatic drop in mileage, so I don't use it unless it's extremely cold.
  15. Halleluiah, I finally got a good day to wash the DJ! It was killing me to look at all the salt!!!!!
  16. This was the first time we ordered from the factory. We wanted to make sure we got everything we wanted in it. We didn't know what to expect because many of the forum members were saying that they waited 4 or 5 months. Our order went in on September 10th, 2012 and we picked it up on December 10th, 2012. It certainly was worth the wait. I downloaded the owners manual and went over it for the next three months. During that time the discounts also increased- bonus!!!!

I do have the remote start. It will shut off after a short period of time (15 minutes). I think you also have to have at least 1/4 of a tank of gas. I've only used it for real cold days. I didn't use it at all last winter except to make sure it worked.

No, it will continue to run until it's shut off or runs out of gas.

We've had our Journey since December 2012 and I still find myself forgetting to shut the engine off occasionally. The V6 is so quiet it's hard to tell LOL. How many of you still do it?
  20. Hi Will welcome to the forum. One of the first things we did was get Weathertech floor mats, hood and side window deflectors. I also got it detailed and the paint treated in the first week of ownership. Got it rustproofed and fabric guarded as well.
  21. Welcome Latoya. It's not hard to love the Journey. Mine came with floor mats, but we opted to buy Weathertech floor mats which are great for keeping your carpets dry. It sure was great with all the snow we've had this year. Enjoy your "new to you" ride!
