  1. Welcome to the forum and your excitement is well warranted. Our Journey will be a year old on December 10 and absolutely no regrets. We also added the Weather Tech Floor mats- excellent product. Great early Christmas gift, enjoy!
  2. The Journey is very popular here in our city. It's not uncommon to see 2-3 Journeys at a stoplight at the same time on a regular basis. They are all over the city, it's almost like a pack mentality. They claim that the Journey is the number one selling crossover in Canada and I don't doubt it by how many we see here in Windsor, Ontario. We love our Journeys!!!!!
  3. Just a thought. I wonder if you provided the VIN# to DodgeCares if it would be possible to check what the repair history of the vehicle is. That is, provided the original owner took it to the dealer for service.
  4. I think the fact that you bought it from a GM dealer put you at a disadvantage from the beginning. A Chrysler dealer may have been able to access any maintenance records so you would have been able to determine if the previous owner had done regular maintenance. I got in the habit of keeping every record of maintenance for all my vehicles. It sure helped if I had any part failures, repairs, warranty issues or if I sold them. Although having these records is no guarantee of worry free ownership, it at least shows the previous owner took care of the vehicle. I feel bad about your experience and understand your frustration especially since our Journey has been such a great vehicle. I wish you luck.
  5. If your Journey has the towing package, it would have the oil cooler and the wiring harness. If you're not sure if your Journey has the towing package you can ask DodgeCares to look it up for you. You need to provide your VIN#. I believe the 2010 Journey with the 3.5 is rated at maximum 3500 pounds towing capacity. By the way you need five posts to PM DodgeCares, but if you post your VIN# number here, he should be able to answer on the forum.
  6. You're in for a treat. We drove over 13,000 kilometres on our road trip earlier this year and the Journey was a dream on the highway. We were very happy with the mileage and the performance.
  7. Welcome to the forum. I joined before I bought mine too and the information everyone shared sold me on the Journey. It's a great vehicle.
  8. Good news guys. I called Sirius today and I asked to speak to a supervisor. After some haggling I was able to negotiate the price from over $210.00 with tax, down to $79.96 plus tax for a total of $103.51. I'm glad they were willing to wheel and deal. The service was a blessing on our road trip earlier this year. I guess Christmas came early LOL!
  9. My No Charge Trial of Sirius Select expires next week. I checked out the price and was wondering if anyone knows if there are any discounts available? Thanks!
  10. Welcome to the forum. Our Journey is Copper Pearl Coat. What colour is yours?
  11. Congratulations on you new ride. I've never noticed what you're experiencing, but then again the terrain here is very flat.
  12. Congratulations and welcome to the forum!
  13. I think your service advisor is ill-advised if you ask me. What utter nonsense. Why would the TPMs have anything to do with anything other than monitoring your tire pressure? I would report that idiot to the Dealership manager! No wonder people don't trust the Dealers. I would look for another dealer.
  14. Hey Journeyman, There was a spam entry that was erased just after your comment that was written in a foreign language that I was questioning. They must have erased before you saw it.
  15. That's a nice colour, but then again the Journey is great in any colour! Mine is Copper Pearl Coat.
  16. Welcome to the forum! Lots of great information and support from the members.
  17. I think it may be because of differing driving habits. Earlier this year we went on an extended road trip and I noticed that the speed I was driving made a significant difference on the DTE. It seems to adapt to change rather quickly- windy conditions, hills, speed variations, idling and of course seasonal changes to fuel (winter versus summer). The DTE in our Journey is not very consistent as well, so I don't think your case is unusual.
  18. Good for you for not taking no for an answer!!! There are some good dealers out there and it only takes one bad one to make all the others look bad. It also reflects badly on Chrysler, which is unfortunate. Chrysler is working very hard to prove they're building a great product!

    Welcome to the forum!
  21. Dealer will most likely be more expensive, as for Canadian Tire I've had good results over the years on many of my vehicles.
  22. Welcome to the forum. You just bought a great vehicle! Great highway cruiser.
