  1. Go to the Welcome section it has a how to section for step by step instructions on using the forum.
  2. Burn, I wouldn't give up just yet. Why not contact Chrysler customer service to see if they are willing to help. DodgeCaresCa might also be of assistance. Chrysler has been very good about keeping their customers happy since Fiat took over. I would be giving the dealership an earfull. It's worth a shot. Persistance pays off.
  3. Congratulations on your new Journey. We have had our Journey since December 2012 and already over 30,000 kilometres on it. It's a dream to drive! We have the Copper pearlcoat as well. Great color.
  4. Wouldn't or couldn't? They should bring it it to a professional detailer. Some of the goods one work magic on paint. On the advice of my detailer, I didn't let them touch my Journey when it was delivered. I gave them strict instructions to just remove the plastic on the seats and paper only - no washing. I took it directly to the detailer who cleaned the paint before he treated it. It came out amazing. Your experience shows me that I made the right decision. I never let the dealer wash mine at any time. They have instructions to leave it alone. You deserve what you paid for!
  5. Welcome to forum Caroline. You came to the right place. Not only is there great information but a lot of members willing to help. Good choice of vehicle by the way! Enjoy.
  6. Congratulations Hector and welcome to the forum!
  7. Thanks bigtsr, I was waiting for someone to write about this. Are there any special precautions needed during application? Do you have to be careful of the paint?
  8. Yes and I also took Terry's advice and signed up for Fuelly as well. The only time I noticed a drop in mileage is when I get spring fever and let the horses out Lol.
  9. It says under no circumstances should oil change intervals exceed 10,000 miles or 16,000 kms or 12 months whichever comes first.
  10. I'm getting 12.5 L/100kms city driving and mine is 3.6L. When I first got it, the worst I got was 14.3 L/100kms.
  11. My oil changes are covered until the end of the warranty, but I will look at synthetic oil at that time. One question I would have though, would the oil change indicator in the EVIC notice the difference? I just turned 30,000 km's (over 13,000 of those on a U.S and Canada trip this summer) and have had five oil (counting one in Reno Nevada midway into our trip) changes already, but to be honest I'm a little nervous about going 10,000 miles between changes. I've always been meticulous when it comes to the fluids and because of that (I think) over the years, I've never had any major problems. Old habits are hard to break. Of course it could be that all my vehciles have been Chrylser products except for one Ford.
  12. Welcome to the forum Dexter. We really like our Journey and I know you will as well. The forum members are very good at helping out, so don't be shy! Enjoy your ride.

Hi tiffany, Welcome to the forum. It's an awesome vehicle enjoy!
  18. redtomatoman is right about the off gassing of the plastic, glues, carpetting and foam upholstery, but you can buy air fresheners for the "new car" scent.
  19. Looks good. If you want to leave your hood up, just use your back up camera and drive in reverse!
  20. I agree with bigstr. Some of the dealers are terrible to deal with. They don't realize that a lot of consumers today are sharing their experiences and not afraid to use word of mouth to ferret out the bad weeds. If for no other reason, the documentation serves them notice that forums give us an opportunity to educate owners as to what they should expect when they have problems. As Journeyman illustrates there are very good people in the system that make ownership a much better experience- kudos!
