  1. Update- not such good news after all. After the "flashing" I now have the compass readout but they have to order me a new radio because the navigation system stopped working and the new radio will take 5-7 days to ship.
  2. Hello and welcome from another Canadian as well. This is truly a global experience!
  3. Mine is Copper pearl Coat. You both made a great choice. We got ours in December and have 6700 kilometres on it. It's a great highway vehicle. Enjoy!!!!
  4. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. What color is your Journey?
  5. I'm having the same experience with my 2013 Journey. The most I've been able to put in is 59.9 litres or 15.8 gallons. The Journey has a fuel tank capacity of 20.5 gallons or 77.6 litres. I think this might be a common problem. The first time my fuel light went on, the indicator on the Evic showed I had enough fuel for 37 kilometres and I could only put in 59 litres ( which means I had 19 litres or 5 gallons left) in the tank. I asked at the dealer but haven't really got a very good answer, they said I should have about 10 litres when the light comes on. I think the fuel warning system is the problem not the size of the tank. This is cause for concern as we're planning a trip through the U.S. and Canada later this spring and would like a more reliable indication of fuel capacity. Maybe DodgeCares or DodgeCaresCa could get us an answer.
  6. I had my Journey at the dealer this week for some work and they added the compass update for the Evic. When I got home and backed into the driveway that's when I noticed the camera angle had changed. I also found that the Navigation screen is now blank. I have an appointment on Wednesday of this week to fix both. I thought the camera might be a simple fix- it still works but it doesn't display as much as before. Oh by the way, the compass now works LOL.
  7. My back up camera angle has changed to the point where I see the back bumper and it looks like it's getting worse. Has anyone experienced this and Is there a way to adjust the angle and tighten it so it stays put?
  8. Hi and welcome. Heading to St. George, just outside of Brantford Ontario for the Easter weekend. This will be our second highway trip since we got the Journey in December and should give me a good idea on the gas mileage I can expect on our trip later this spring through the U.S. and Canada later this spring. One thing I've learned about the forum members is they are very generous with their ideas and not the least bit shy!
  9. Thanks Terry, I have to go to the dealer this week and I'll get them to check it out.
  10. Nothing to be sorry about. Here's the link to the manual- hope this helps. http://cs.dodge-club.net/graphics/manuals/34/2009---Journey-2nd.pdf
  11. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. We got our 2013 SXT in December and love it. I already have 5500 kilometres on it. Ours is Copper Pear Coat. What color is yours?
  12. Congratulations on your new Journey! I have the five seater for the same reason. I've had five minivans and very rarely used the back seat. The last one I had, I took the third seat out and only put it back in when I traded it in.
  13. I've been getting 12.5- 13 L/100km consistently for 100% city driving. Something must be wrong. The worst I've gotten is 15.1L/100km when I first got it. The best I've gotten is 10.2 L/100km with one highway trip when we first got it. The mileage has steadily improved as I put more kilometres on. The only difference I can see is that mine is an SXT, but that shouldn't make that much difference.
  14. Wow, I don't blame you for being ticked! That's terrible after all that wait!
  15. Congratulations on your new Journey and welcome to the forum!! You made an excellent choice!!!!!
  16. I'm with Mcgusto82. The extra money you spend on the new car is definitely worth it. You'll have full warranty protection and along with that- peace of mind. There are many forum members here who are quite happy with their 4 cylinder Journeys.
  17. Thank YOU DennyB. Congratulations and good luck on your new position and welcome to Mr. BrettS!
  18. Welcome to the forum. The forum was a great help for me before we bought our Journey as well. The members are always helpful and very creative at finding solutions. Enjoy the ride!
  19. I went to the dealers today for my first oil change. I asked about the accuracy of the fuel warning system and was told that when the light comes on there should be approximately be 10 litres left in the tank. The most I've had to put in at fill up has been 59 litres so that sounds about right. I've also noticed a slight improvement in mileage in the last few fill ups. What has been your experience with the fuel light?

  21. I noticed this on my 2013 as well. The first time it happened it took me by surprise.
  22. You would be amazed on the number of Journeys here in Windsor. There are so many I think they travel in packs!
