Congratulations and Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! I'm waitning for delivery of my 2013 journey SXT. I now drive a neon and have had 4 Dodge minivans ('92, '95, 98' and 2000 an '86 Kcar, '78 Dodge Monaco wagon and a '82 plymouth Horizon. The Monaco Wagon was a dream to drive on the highway and I'm hoping the Journey is as good if not better! Enjoy your ride.

In Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving on the second Monday in October. I live in Windsor across the river from Detroit and American Thanksgiving is a big deal here as well. I'm a longtime Detroit Lion fan like many other Windsorites and the Lion's Thankgiving game here is a big deal. So is the Detroit Tigers opening day. Go Tigers!

Lebowski, a lot of times you seem to post a lot of complaints and many forum members think it's whining. As a matter of fact, I used to think so to, and I apologize for this. I believe you are doing so because you expect better results and you're frustrated. The fact that you posted this video to help another forum member makes it obvious to me that you are willing to help and trying to make some improvements for other Journey owners. I hope that other members will cut you some slack and understand that while criticism can be hard to take some times it can be constructive.

Welcome and congratulations. It's funny you mentioned that consider the Journey more "manly". The other day I was saying to my wife that I've noticed that Journey owners are so diverse. Youth, senior, female and male- it seems to attract interest from all generations and gender. The other thing I noticed on this board is the enthusiam it generates in North America and internationlly. Enjoy the ride!

Congratulations. When did you order it? I ordered a 2013 Journey SXT on September 10th. I liked the White Tri Coat but my wife liked the Copperhead Pearlcoat, so that's what we selected. I don't expect it for a while. As you go further into the model year it usually takes quite a while. Many members of this forum were waiting as long as 4 months. You'll find that this forum is a wealth of information and the members are very supportive. Their experience sure helped me with my decision.

Good for you! Always nice to hear about a postive dealer experience. I had bought 6 vehicles from this one particular dealer and because of change of ownership, the service was terrible. I went to another dealer in town for service and was so impressed with them, I bought my new vehicle from them. There are good dealers out there and they deserve to be praised, something we often don't think about. If we can complain about poor service, it's only fair to tell them you appreciate it when they do a good job. Way to go!

When I ordered my 2013 Journey SXT, I odered it with the trailer tow package, but I won't be getting it until November or December so I can't help you with your problem. You came to the right place to find out- the folks on this forum are very helpful!

I've been checking out paint treatments before I take delivery of my 2013 Journey. The dealers have very pricey options. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences going with their dealer? I have checked out Opti Coat with a local detailer and the price sounds very reasonable. I have seen some youtube videos and it looks promising, but nothing like personal experiences. Have any forum members tried this product or others? Thank you for any feedback.

The only difference that I'm aware of is the upgrade of the Navigation system. I read that there are supposed to be changes to the suspension in the R/T and the price of the R/T and Crew was being reduced as well.

Thanks guys! I was looking at the Crew but the 19" tires were a major concern. When I bought my Neon I didn't realize that it had an odd size tire. I got a blow out on the highway and couldn't get a tire and had to buy 4 new tires in the alternative size even though the other tires still had good tread on them. We're planning a long road trip through Canada and the U.S. next year and I don't want the hassle or the extra expense. I'm a Chrysler retiree, so I get the employee discount which saved us quite a few bucks. I'm amazed at the number of Journeys that are on the road, but after we took the 24 hour test drive it's not hard to understand. Drives like a dream!

We just ordered a 2013 Journey this week. The Journey is very popular here in Canada so I'll likely be in for a long wait before I get it. From the enthusiam expressed by so many on this forum, I believe the wait is worth it.

Thanks for the feedback. My wife and I ordered a 2013 SXT with the Navigation sytem. I guess the nav system has been tweeked. Not sure what the difference is, but I appreciate the forum members sharing all their experiences. It sure helped make my decision easier. Thanks.

My wife and I just ordered a 2013 Journey SXT 5 seatter this afternoon. It has the 3.6 Penstar, 6 speed automatic, heated seats, power driver seat, Navigation and Sound Package, trailer prep package, Convenience Group 1, Copperhead Pearl Coat, and 5 year extended warranty. I want to thank all of you for your help, your comments and information that you shared on this forum are greatly appreciated. Looking forward to sharing future discussions!

I'm going to the Dealer on Thursday to look at the 2013 Journeys. I want to order the Navigation system and was wondering if the voice activation has caused anyone problems. Any feedback would be appreciated. By the way thanks to all the posters for their pro and con comments on this forum, you've made my purchasing decision so much easier. The dealer is absolutley right. This is normal for this time of year as they have to adhere to a production schedule to begin the new models. I'm waiting until September to see about the 2013's. I know there are fantastic deals to be had now but the only way you can be 100% assured of getting what you want is to order it direct. Your dealer can do a search of available inventory but remember you are competing with other dealers trying to accommodate their customers.
