Undercoating and does it quiet the interior noise
Rubberdude88 replied to adelorme's topic in Accessories, Modifications
We had ours undercoated at the dealer so don't know how it sounds without. I can still hear the engine through the RPM range but on the highway - natta. -
Any pics lawdog?

Hey all, Saw this image posted by Robert from New Zealand. It shows the e-brake handle between the seats to the left of the center console. This looks aesthetically really good. I like it. Here in North America, we are given a peddle way off to the left of our feet and it is tucked up almost under the dash. You can't use the e-brake for any winter fun here - drifting I also notice it's a Dodge not a Fiat. I thought it was Fiat in the Australia / New Zealand part of our earth - guess not. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/gallery/image/1078-rhd/ Anyway, found it to be interesting and wonder why it is not this way here in Canada / USA. I would prefer it with the center console. Welcome to the forum Robert. Enjoy your new Black RT - looks really nice. Cheers

Ya... welcome Isaac. Enjoy. Are you anywhere near where the DJ's are assembled?

I have a 2700PSI gas pressure washer. I spray the front with the cleaner/degreaser, let it soak while I spray the rest of the truck then blast it. Most come off on the first pass if I let them soak long enough. The really dry exploded ones take a couple of seconds at full PSI. If you wash your DJ as often as I do, the pressure washer pays for itself in less than a year. Good luck and PS... I wouldn't use WD40 on paint unless your going to clean & wax the area - same day.

Welcome to the forum. This is our first Dodge as well - Our GM loyality has came to an end. I have to agree with Redman - new is the way to go but once you start adding packages, that $21,300 can quickly become $30,000+++ so... Option #3 Understanding that you would like to keep payments to a minimum, your option #3 sounds like the way to go. You get everything the RT offers (Rims, Leather, Heated Seats, etc) just add the sunroof. Adding the 8.4 with Nav to a used DJ will run you upwards of $1500.00 installed. Adding a sunroof can run from $400.00 (cheap) up to $1500.00 for one that will operate like factory installed. Adding the backup camera will run around $800.00 installed. Lots to think about eh? Good luck.

Here is the next appearance mod I am planning to do. Painting the chrome grill surround to match the body. I am going to have the piece dealer painted for a couple of reasons. Has anyone done this to their DJ? Any pics? We have the Brilliant Red TC Pearl just like the pic below. Think it should look pretty good as I am going for a black and red "theme" keeping chrome to a minimum - not that there's anything wrong with chrome :punched: Let me know what you think of the idea. Cheers.

Maybe an overfilled crankcase? Not sure.

We almost got the copper pearl, the only one on the lot. Love it Journeymen. My wife's only battle was the colour - she won. Very nice looking truck. Congratulations and enjoy your new ride.

That's funny Rolly but very practical. I'm sure someone somewhere has this.

We'll have to wait and see but I'll also be looking elsewhere if that's the case. What a joke if true.

2012 Dodge Journey 3.6 first impressions
Rubberdude88 replied to siteczek's topic in Owner Impressions
"Mine is also 2012 r/t but getting 23.5 L/100km i got 1800 km now! Not impressed..." I'm running 12.642L/100km over 57 fill ups as per Fuelly. 2012 SXT with the 3.6L I'd be pissed too running 23.5!!! -

Welcome to the forum. Congratulations. Your gonna love it. When we went to the lot, they had 36 DJ's of various trim levels but only 2 in brilliant red tri-coat pearl so we scooped the SXT. Don't see many of this red in Ontario. It's nice to kinda stand out. Anyway... enjoy your new ride and some separation for the kids

No problems here. Kumho's on 19's. Been through one pretty rough winter (Barrie, ON Canada). Yah,.. had some wheel slip on inclines but nothing serious. Been to Florida and back (5000km's+) with no issues at any speed - 60, 70, 80mph no problems at all. 21000km's so far. Sorry to hear you are having issues but it is not the tires as they come from the factory. It's aftermarket work causing your issues I believe.

Welcome. I'm in Canada. Enjoy.
