I like this idea. Looks good and does the job for what, a 5th of the price of OEM? Heading out to see if CanTire has one available. Thanks.

We put in WeatherTech mats. They fit perfectly in our 2012 with the double hooks. A little bit more expensive but feel they were worth it. I put some pics in the gallery if you care to have a look.

Dodge will tell you you can't use the in dash DVD player

This is exactly what we did. We purchased the 8"RCA unit's where you can watch two different DVD's at the same time. I got them for a steal at Walmart Canada for $100.00. They each have there own remote. Then I purchased 3 wireless headphones off eBay for $100.00 for all 3. They are Rapoo H3070's 2.4g. The seller was asking $46.61 each - I offered him $100.00 for 3 and he agreed. Our 3 kids Love them and no tangled wires and quiet long trips. :-) -

Manual "wobbly" Hood Support ... WTF!!!
Rubberdude88 replied to Rubberdude88's topic in Accessories, Modifications
Does anyone know if struts are available for 2012? Are they on other model years? Can anyone help??? Please Cheers -
Remember, the manual also recommends the first oil change at 13,000 KM's - NOT.

I'm sure Goodyear is working on a 19" replacement. I would prefer putting Goodyear Eagle GT's on when it's time to replace. I have always enjoyed the performance of the GT's on every vehicle I've owned. Just got our DJ so tire replacement might not be until 2014. Hoping for Goodyears by then.

Hello all, We have had our new 2012 DJ SXT for 3 weeks now. Loving it by the way. Would like to ask for some advice and/or input on the following. I have had the hood up a couple of times and am not impressed by the hood support rod. Not sure about other model years but on our 2012 with the Pentastar V6 we have a cheap hood support rod. I want to convert this to strut(s) if possible. Are they available for the DJ? What size strut? One or two? Is there mounting support already there? So far this is the only thing that is bugging me. I have read they may have changed due to wind, price or strut failure - whatever the reason, it sucks. Any part #'s or advice on the correct size of strut to purchase would be very much appreciated. . Thanks in advance, LRD

This is great info. Just installed a K&N Filter and also noticed this obstruction - Will be opening the area back up today and cutting back the tube and checking for the flap. Didn't see the flap when I put the K&N in but will also remove it.

Looks really good. These r going to be our next add-on. Thanks for the info.

Yah... Ours came with a cheap plastic dealership emblem. Used a hair dryer to heat it up and it came right off. Removed the tape residue with micro fibre cloth, Lucas Slick Mist and some elbow grease. Not sure I'd use a heat gun - they may cause damage if you get distracted for a couple of seconds. Wish the dealership would actually spend $50 on a high quality emblem and I may just leave them on. I mean what's $50 on a $30,000+ vehicle.

Agreed. We live in Canada (Ontario) and just got our 2012 SXT and of the 36 Journey's on the lot, 50% had the rear DVD system - on the Crews and RT's.

Agree... It's all marketing yo!!!

New K&N Filter Install - Warning to Oil Change Sales

June 19/12 - Update: Took our Journey for a test drive today and noticed a nice new pronounced engine sound at medium to high RPM with the new K&N Filter. Throttle response seemed a bit better. I know from the past that adding a K&N Filter has many benefits and I am noticing them in our new Journey on first drive. I can't comment of fuel economy as I had my foot firmly planted most of the test run but I will update at a later date regarding any fuel economy improvment which again I know there will be from experience on previous cars and trucks. Cheers
