I guess i need to be a little more specific about this. I knew about the merger (happened before i went overseas) but on their website your selection of channels are based on which type of service you're getting (They have Sirius, XM, and SiriusXM channel lineups). I asked the question because I'm a serious sportsfan and only SiriusXM capable radios give you play by play off all sports.

service awd message along with some other lights
aukfan33 replied to Canadian Paul's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
Ive had that light come on a couple of times, once with the smaller spare tire on and once when i lost traction on icy roads. Both times the light went off on its own and hasn't come back on. I think its just a safety feature of the car. Would take it in if the light doesn't turn off. -
Update: the next time I started the vehicle the check light was off and hasnt come back. I recently had to repair a flat that caused the check AWD light to come on while the spare was on. As soon as I put the reg tireback on all lights went back off.

Originally purchased 2012 DJ Crew overseas through military car buying program. I upgraded the 4.3S to the 8.4N and installed the parksense rear sensors. I will be moving to the states soon and need to know if I should plan on going to a dealership to update the software with these changes? I want to be able to use the daytime running lights and have the parksense show up on the EVIC when the vehicle is in reverse. Also, the vehicle came with a year of Sirius but has never been used overseas, do I just contact Sirius once I get to the states to begin the trial or do I need to contact DodgeCares to update the new radio ID since I changed out the original radio? Thoughts?

This happened to me as well but the light went off the next time I started the DJ. Taking it to a local dealer here to see what they say about it. May have to wait till I move back to the states this summer to really address this. Hopefully, it was one of those glitches and won't come back.

need help removing the rear ac controls.
aukfan33 replied to Journey13_SXT's topic in Accessories, Modifications
Per the installation instructions you use a small trim removal tool on each of the four corners of the rear climate control. See install instructions from the below link. http://moparonlineparts.com/dodge-journey-rear-seat-video-player-p-2481.html Hope this helps. -
Chavo, My upgrade was very straight forward when i went from the 4.3S to the 8.4N. If your 4.3 had the SAT then you should be wired for the upgrade. As Mc has stated, the lower stack is important if you want the SD card functionality (i use it for music here in Europe) and in my case the different stacks didnt make a difference with the climate controls but my DJ came with bluetooth, voice control, etc. and that may mean my wiring may be different from your situation. Take a look at my pics of this mod. It may help you identify it your wiring is similar. Best of luck to you. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/gallery/member/6079-aukfan33/

I was able to plug and play the head unit and bezel without taking it to the dealer. As you can see from my earlier post I went from the 4.3S radio to the 8.4N with navigation. It even shows up in the EVIC when i have a turn coming up etc. without getting a code from the dealer. Good luck with your upgrade.

I had a connector that plugged into that socket. I had 5 connectors that came out of the one on the left. (Radio Antenna, sat/nav connection, uconnect, USB port, not sure about what the fifth one is for without a wiring diagram). Please understand that I purchased the factory Mopar RB5 radio and had it matched to my VIN ($1799.00). I'm sure you can probably get the head unit and bezel cheaper but you gotta make sure that you're getting the right radio. You'll only have the wiring in the vehicle for the radio that was taken out. Buying the RB5 will not add functionality if you didn't already have those capabilities before.

Sorry about that but the back of the 8.4 looks like the pic he took, the difference is the wiring with my vehicle. Since the radio I removed already had climate control, sat, etc., the wiring (specifically 5 connections to the back) all just plugged in and there was no way to plug them in the wrong places. No, I didnt have to buy the lower stack and everything functions just fine. When I get back to the states I will buy the correct lower stack from either Ebay or a salvage yard so I can use the SD card reader.
