In January as a Christmas present to myself I will be getting all the items on the linked wishlist installed. I currently have the Uconnect 4.3 w/o BT/NAV/Sat or anything so I am going to relocated the screen to the storage area behind the cup holder, have a tablet installed where the screen currently is. Have the output from the stereo routed to a signal processor, send it to an amp which will power my new Rockford speakers in the doors, tweeters in the A pillars and a single shallow mount 12 inch sub I will have a box designed for. Waiting on a local shop to give me the final install price. All the equipment will run me just under 1,600.00, if I can get the shop to come in close or under that for installation, and dash fabrication/modification I will be doing this in early next month if not. I will be doing in closer to March. The tablet will be my new head unit so to speak. I am going to stream music via Bluetooth to the Rockford 3Sixty.3 I will still be able to use the radio since I will be doing High Input from the factory head unit. I really wanted to replace it but it appears I can't because too many functions depend on it. The tablet will be an easily removable Nexus 7. I am planning on having the shop modify it so that it can charge while docked. Then use apps to control the way it is functioning based on the charging status. I have been struggling with trading in to trade up but I love my Journey and this will give me all I have been missing and so much more. http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/27GJTG6J06G3E/ref=topnav_lists_2

I agree you should use the latching system. I had no problem getting mine tight enough. I used those foam pool noodles so it would not dent the seat cushion and it is nice and snug, and only denting the pool noodle.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that. I had being in the passenger side of my car. I do have the manual lever to lower my seat but it is higher than my driver side as well.

Evic Notifications

Pretty cool, I get paranoid that my battery is low because it seems as if the range on my remote start has gone down. Glad that is something the EVIC notifies you about. I have only had the low tire pressure when the temp started dropping. -
Replacing HVAC Controls

Thanks for that video, I had not thought of that. I'll have to show this to the shop I have lined up for my install. -
I have the 4.3 Uconnect w/o Satellite or Bluetooth. I am looking into replacing the stereo with a Nexus 7 now that Nav-TV has a steering wheel blue tooth control adapter. I want my dash modded so that it looks OEM installed so I have no problem with losing the 4.3 screen. My only problem with replacing the factory stereo is once I remove the screen I lose a lot of function with the HVAC controls. Is there a center/lower stack that can replace what I would lose by removing the screen? Will the screen function any if I removed the stereo? There is not much room to place the tablet, and I will be using it for Navigation, Audio, and all around entertainment, so the current position of the 4.3 screen is ideal.

Andrioid and the USB

The radios do not support MTP, the phone has to be able to go into mass storage mode. Check your phone to see if it is possible if not then you are out of luck. -
Looks really good after being fixed. I had someone hit my car with their door it left a little dent, there is no paint missing or scratches though. It's really small. I also have a little paint off my front passenger door where I think my wife or someone she was with hit someone else car it's small as well. I am going to get quotes to fix them and touch up some spots by my driver door handle.

Did you get them installed? I was looking into it and the dealer wants to charge 500+ total for lights and labor.

Looks really good

Does it change the gas mileage? Bigger rims are heavier...just curious.

Also the bass is not as defined as I would like. -
Amp/Sub

Funny you should say that about the hearing aids. I just may need one but mine is really unimpressive. I have had hearing problems my whole life and always had after market units in my vehicles. My last one was a luxury with upgraded stereo so the speakers were fine. When I am with passengers I fgind the 15 mark perfect 12 if the conversation is good. Alone I like the 20 mark because audio is not distorted at any range however I can hear the road as well as the blowers for the heat. -
I have the 2013 Journey AVP and I am highly disappointed in the sound from the stereo it just lacks power. I want to keep my factory stereo but I want to get better sound from it. What options do I have? The stock stereo does not put out enough volume for me. I am not opposed to adding amps and subs but the amp sub combo will only drown out the existing factory speakers making it worse.

Sounds really good.

Congrats, I am sure you will love it. I am 2 weeks into ownership and loving every single minute of it.

Any updates on this? I would like to get a look at it.

This is so true, you know the amount of time required to so something like this.

Wow that is terrible, nothing worse than working hard for something and having it taken from you. Interesting, my 2013 came with keyed lugs.
