Amp location?

Do they make a wiring harness for your converter? It would simplify things and keep your warranty valid, IMO. I hate the idea of cutting wires on a new vehicle. Good Luck -
Welcome to the forum Less than 14,000 miles is impressive. I love finding cars like these. I just bought an 88 Chevy Silverado with 96,000 miles from an elderly man that bought it brand new in early 1988. He took amazing care of it, other than smashing the front and back bumper. Hey, there not called bumpers for no reason!!

I tend to avoid cars I have no clue about. AWD is completely foreign to me so I stayed away from them when I purchased my Journey. After reading certain things here I think I made a wise decision. AWD seems to be a hot topic with our Journey's. More negative than positive.

My parents love their Lincoln's. 60k for a fully loaded Lincoln these days. Although they are nice indeed, they are far from perfect. They have problems just as any other manufacturer. The Journey is the best bang for your buck CUV out there!

Must be normal, mine does the same thing.

I truly hate to hear about your problems. Its an awful feeling when you pay that much for something and not get what you were promised. I can't help but think that your problem "can" be fixed though. Not all Journeys with sunroofs leak and if they did, they wouldn't put them in. Me personally I don't care for sunroofs because of this, the small margin of error for water to enter is just to much for me, but they should not leak either especially being brand new. I know you don't want to hear it but a 3rd or 4th opinion might be something to consider before giving up. I would run as fast as possible from anyone who tells you it needs to be sealed/glued shut (that's ridiculous). I wouldn't necessarily give up on Chrysler Customer Service either. I have had great luck with them for the small issues I have had when dealers were giving me run around. They actually started getting on my nerves a bit. lol I hope you don't but if you do decide to get rid of your Journey, then I wouldn't worry to much about it becoming someone else's problem. I have bought, fixed, and sold 2 or 3 vehicles a year as a hobby since I was 16, and you would be surprised how many people sale a car because they think something major is wrong with it, when in fact it turns out to be a simple fix that just took some detailed thought and a little knowledge to figure out. Someone needs to spend time diagnosing and troubleshooting your Journey. Not just throw parts at it hoping for a fix. I only chimed in because I believe this is your case. I wish you all the best of luck in getting this resolved and I hate to hear about the loss of your friend. Good luck and hang in there!!

The same thing happened to me not long after I bought my Journey. I was on Google and it sent me here every time I searched Journey. This is the best forum for our Journey's. Welcome to the forum!!

I would check fuses to start with. Its not uncommon to pop a fuse when changing a battery. Not sure why, but I've had this happen to me a couple times over the years. If your old battery become to low, then you could have triggered a low voltage code, which can cause all kinds of electrical problems.

Glad everyone was ok. At least it was just a little fender damage. Good luck getting your Journey fixed!

Curious to see/hear the results. I done this on my Ram and it really didn't change the sound at all. It was still restricted by the 5 gallon bucket sized OEM muffler. I finally ordered me a Flowmaster cat-back dual exhaust system and the difference was day and night. Love that Hemi rumble!! Good luck

I very seldom use the middle seats in my Journey. When my kids are in the car they prefer the rear seat (which still has the headrests). But even then they are not tall enough for the headrest to be useful. I wasn't suggesting everyone take there headrest out as I "do" know what the purpose of a headrest is. I was just stating my experience with my Journey and taking out the middle row headrests greatly improved the poor vision and huge blind spots in my Journey. Lets face it, if you merge over in front of an 18 wheeler on the freeway due to poor visibility, I don't really think a headrest is going to help you much. I'll take my chances considering I hardly ever have passengers and if I do I will make sure to put my headrests back in.
-
I am sure you might have checked already, but if not I would make sure they are inserted correctly into the seat. Or you can push the little button at the base of the headrest and pull it out to find out what is making the noise. I took my middle row headrests out to clean one day and didn't put them back right away. Later I drove it and realized how much more visibility I had and never put them back. Lol

Oops, I meant to say from Park to Drive and then back to Park, or Neutral. -

Did you try to shifting through all gears? Go from Drive all the way to 1st, and then back to Drive. If that doesn't work then try starting it in Neutral. -
Got a rear diff leak on your Journey
Addicted to Dodge replied to Moparman's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
Dang man, that really sucks. Glad you and your family are ok. This sounds like an incompetent dealer issue. I would march to the dealer and put a foot in someone's ass if this happened to me and my kids. This is totally unacceptable and I don't know why they replaced your entire differential when it was just leaking. But either way someone obviously didn't know what they were doing when they replaced your diff. I hope you got a police report, it will help make a case if the dealer gives you grief. I feel for you as I have kids to and I cant imagine if this happened to me. Anyways good luck to you and your family. -
