  1. From the album: Hockeypucks 2014 Limited

    Chrome clad wheels
  2. Today I moved the small rear seat behind the driver forward a couple inches and it opens a small gap to put the top through. Perfect. I'm not that short that I cut them down much, although some D skater might need more room cause those folks like longer sticks! LOL
  3. Not at all. Doesn't bother me a bit. On the other hand, if the never ending drizzle would end so I could wash it, I woiuld be delighted. Figured out the 8.4 menus and settings. Like it. On the other hand, first time I've ever had black floor mats and discovered they show everything! Ordered slight dark beige, to match seats from aftermarket. (Lloyd mats) And finally, my hockey sticks JUST fit diagonally in the back with the 2nd row seat in normal position. Not a 1/4 inch to spare.
  4. Thankyou Godfather! Even though the chrome bodyside moulding was way overpriced, I am glad I got it. I have never seen one on any Journey anywhere around here and there are a lot of them. Same for the gas cap. Seen lots on Challengers and Ram trucks but never on a Journey. Since I have the black carpet floor mats, I've noticed they show every grain of sand that gets tracked in. Might get another set for the front of carpet mats but a lighter colour. Not sure if Mopar makes such a thing. I will get some Weather Tech floor liners for the front only in the fall.
  5. I will post many more pics but holding off till some siding contractors move their equipment out of my driveway so I can get to work on detailing. Plus the City has streetsweepers out, kicking up a ton of dust and they haven't been on my street yet. Will be dust everywhere.
  6. So far exactly what I want. I needed to see how the selected chrome looked on the vehicle before considering mirror covers, but I don't want to over accessorize it. Still considering a sunroof deflector but need some time with it first. I do like that silver bar on the rear bumper above the exhaust pipes on the crossroad. Lots to ponder.
  7. Took delivery today. Here is a teaser pic. Will post more after I get a chance to detail. It has dust on it today.
  8. Arrived at the dealer today! Likely pick up tomorrow. Pics to come.
  9. Tick, tick, tick............ Journey on the rail car enroute. The next bunch of weeks is gonna kill me.
  10. You won't have any problems. 17 inch wheels are still standard on SXT and below. 19 inch standard on Limited and up. All 14's use the big brakes.
  11. Hey folks. Here is a helpful link to a website that you can search for parts from auto recycler's located all over North America. You can narrow down search results to specific regions, states/provinces etc. Very handy. I already located and purchased some locally recycled 17 inch alloy wheels from at 2012 Journey to use next winter for my winter tires. Great site for any parts you might need. Cheers. http://www.car-part.com/
  12. Wow, ordered it on March 14th and was told today it was changed to D1 status (whatever that means) and the plant has sequenced the unit for production, estimated ship date assigned. Estimated ship date April 14.
  13. Heck, anyplace on the eastern half of the continent has had a brutal winter, NH included. But it is true, there is nothing quite like a winter in Mn or Manitoba. Being 100 miles NW of International Falls (AKA Frostbite Falls *grin*) we've sure had our share of that dastardly white stuff and cold air. Sending you more this weekend too! Happy Spring.
  14. Since I am one of those retired bas*ards, and if it is deep snow out, I have the option of staying home. I'd rather have some nice extra alloy wheels for the price of AWD for my winter tires. I buy those for stopping and control rather than going through deep snow. The folks here are usually pretty good for plowing the main roads.
  15. Decision by the boss gods of Chrysler Canada. AWD is only availble on the R/T in Canada. Leather seats on R/T only too. Fine for me as I wanted all the bells and whistles on the Limited, but not interested in AWD or Leather.
  16. Well, time to replace my old faithful 2002 Caravan Sport. She has served me well. Factory ordered a 2014 Journey Limited today as a check of all stock within 200 km of Winnipeg, no one had anything close to what I want. The wait will kill me! - 5 passenger - Redline 2 coat pearl - Beige interior (instead of usual black) - Navigation & Sound group - Sunroof - 19 inch Chrome Clad Wheels - Chrome Body Side moulding (dealer installed) - Chrome fuel filler door (dealer installed) - Front & Rear mud flaps (dealer installed) - Moulded Cargo area tray (dealer installed) - Extended 7 year warranty - Will add separate 17 inch wheels and snow tires before next winter. A firm believer in winter tires. I went for the Limited as I didn't want AWD. In Canada Limited's are FWD only.
  17. For that lo For that low mileage I would not worry about it. The amount of wear will be small. The police here in Winnipeg use winter tires year round on their cruisers as changeover/storage is time consuming and costly (yes it gets hot in summer!) with no problems. They replace the tires every October anyway due to high mileage.
  18. larryl is 100% right. You do not want a low profile tire for winter. Plus the smaller tire saves you money when purchasing. Example. Bridgestone Blizzakl DMV1 225 55/R19 list price from Bridgestone website is $213.99 The same diameter overall DMV 1 225 65 R17 list price is $171.99 So save yourself 42 dollars per tire and put that money towards a 1 time purchase of steel wheels and save the nice wheels for non winter times.
