What's better for 2010 Journey RT AWD 18" or 20" rims
DTSGUY replied to stephs12's topic in Wheels & Tires
I found mine on my local Craigs List. Its a company here in my area that deals with used tires. Im sure you'll find one in your area. This is the kind of place that I found mine at. http://boston.craigslist.org/nwb/ptd/4129452311.html -

And this is why I would never trade my 2010 Journey for any other one 2011 and newer. I hate that I caint change out the radio to a high end after market one. I looked at a 2014 just today at a dealer. I like most everything about it but when I looked at the radio/temperature/infotainment dashboard. I said no way would I want that. Yes it has a few cool features but being able to change out the radio is a major thing for me. I dont know what Im gonna do when my Journey dies.

I can understand why you wanna get different rims. Yours look good but only 17". Bigger ones will look much better. If I had 17" and was gonna buy new ones I would go with 20" because ther are much more options for tires than there are for 19" but since mine are 19" Ill stick with mine. The ones that I personally like are. http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-Inch-Matte-Black-Chrysler-300c-SRT8-factory-OE-Replica-Wheels-Dodge-Charger-/281071796523?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Wheels&hash=item41712f412b&vxp=mtr I did see the same ones that you like on ebay in a 20". Do some research on 19" and 20" tires that will fit your Journey and go from their. Let me know what you decide Im curious to know. Thanks.

Thank You. My Journey is an SXT also. The rims that I had powder coated are the ones that came with it. What size are your rims? Mine are 19".

Im doing the same thing to my 2010 Journey. Ive already done a few things. If you like your wheels you can have them powder coated black like I did to mine. It cost me $100.00 per wheel including the red stripe. I still need to do a few other things to complete it but I need to try to slow down cause Ive put in a lot of money into it already even though I ordered 2 more things for it just last night. I have a list of things that Ive done here. Just click the link below and check out my pictures in my gallery if you would like. I hope it all works out for you. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/4933-lots-done-already/

Thanks. What backwards C are you refering to? On what door? If your refering to the black stripe's on the back lift door then no that was already done before the accident.

Yes I remember seeing that posting to.

Thanks, I love the way it looks. Let me know how the PlastiDip holds up next to the hot exhaust tips. I PlastiDiped the interior grey/silver center part of my dashboard. It looks so so so much better. If it starts peeling then im gonna just redo it with paint cause I never want it grey/silver again.

DING DING DING!!!!!!! Your correct. I wanted to have this done with vinel before it got hit but I felt the vinel wouldnt do good with the heat from the exhaust so when it got hit I took this opportunity to have it painted. I love the way it turned out. Now if I can have the front get hit with out it being my fault...I have plans for that too!!! But honestly I would rather it not get hit at all. I dont like knowing that its been in an accident.

Here are my before, during and after pics. It came out fantastic.

Its all done. I finally got my J back. It was hard being with out it, especially since Ive only had it for 4 months. The shop did a great job. You caint even tell anything was done to it. The paint blended really good and the body work was exceptional.

In the posting above he said he has 82000K on it. Im asuming thats Kilo since he is in Canada. I did a conversion to miles and its 50,952 Miles. Theres no way he should be having all these problems with that low of miles on it. Shouldnt it still be under warranty with that low of miles?
