What's better for 2010 Journey RT AWD 18" or 20" rims
DTSGUY replied to stephs12's topic in Wheels & Tires
In the past ive always gotten bigger wheels with smaller tires for my vehicles and Ive suffered everytime with gas milleage and lower overall mileage on the tires. I would agree 100% that they may look better. I know that there is limited tires for the 19" wheels but if you go with 20" then you will need to go with a lower profile tire so you can keep the overall diameter the same and lower profile tires means less overall mileage. I have the 19" stock wheel and I powerder coated them black with a red stripe and I love the way it came out. I also found a local tire company that sells used tires that are like new with less than 1000 miles on them. I just got 4 tires for $180.00. This means that even if I only get 35,000 miles and I need another set, Ill get them from the same guy for the same price and still be way ahead in overall mileage. Good luck. This is just my opinion and not everyone is going to agree with me. -
Cause he probably forgot to.

Nothing cause its still in the body shop getting fixed. I talked to them today and they said ill have it Tuesday of next week. I do have a few thoughts of what I want to do next. I really want the black front lights that are on the BlackTop version. Im gonna do an HID light kit for it and change most of the bulbs to LED's. Im feeling withdrawls from not seeing my J everyday.

For sure check out other places just to be sure but I think you might find out that its gonna be about the same price, especially if you want it to come out looking as if it never happened. My Journey is in the body shop right now getting repaired. Good Luck.

I blacked out my original wheels. Im very happy with the way it turned out. In the past Ive had several vehicles and I have always gotten aftermarket wheels and suffered gas mileage decrease. I didnt want to go through that again so I just had mine powdercoated and Im very happy with it.

That silver panel is very easy to remove and you can see for yourself how much room is behind it. From the very bottom of the panel you will need to pull it off and work your way up. It takes a little force but keep pulling and it will come right off.
