  1. My 2010 DJ SXT sometimes wont start. I changed the batteries in both of my key fobs and changed the battery in my Journey. This happens with 2 different key fobs. Most of the time it starts right up but every now and then I put the fob in the hole and turn it and get just a clicking sound. The radio and everything inside turns on. I don't get a message fob not recognized. Has anyone else had this problem? Oh and when this happens I also try to start it using the remote start and most of the time it works but sometimes it doesn't.
  2. They look real nice I love it!!
  3. It was done with light film. It's still in great shape.
  4. Welcome, Ive done so much to mine, its addicting.
  5. I had the same problem with mine. My family and I went on vacation and the engine light came on just as we were driving into a big city so I went directly to a Dodge dealership and a tech was their just as I was pulling in and he heard it and said to me that my lifters were bad. He saw that we were on a road trip and he told the service manager about it and they got me in immediately and I was back on the road in 2 hours. I was shocked at how quickly the took care of me.
  6. Go to a Car Audio place and they can tell you what you wil need to do. It doesnt mean U have to buy anything from them but at least you will know what you will need. Your probably gonna need to buy an amp cause a different Sub is gonna need it. Just changing the sub to a different one wont do much at all. Good Luck.

    Hi all.

Welcome and I hope you find what your looking for here.
  9. I did the same upgrade as you did and mine didnt last any longer than the OEM so I decided to do the Big Brake upgrade. I hope you get better results than I did. Good Luck.
  10. This is just my Opinion so if you dont agree with me thats quite alright. If your Journey has 17"X7" now why wouldnt you go to at least 19" (Maybe your not doing this for looks but it would look much better). You can go 9" wide and not have any issues with clearance. I put 20"X9" on mine and I dont have any issues with clearance and I dont use more gas at all either. Just a thought.
  11. Cant we all just get along?!?!???!!.......... I have a dual exhaust Magnaflow on my 2010 SXT AWD and I notice a difference and it has good sound. Its not loud. I didnt want it loud cause I didnt want to TRY to make it sound like a V8 and not come close. Mine fit just fine with my hitch. However I still dont like the power output of my 3.5....... it sucks. I know that the 3.6 in the 2013 and up are much better.......I drove one. But Im not gonna trade mine or sell mine yet. Im waiting for the new SRT Journeys coming in 2016 or 2017. I bought mine used in 2013 and at that time I didnt know that the 2013 had a much better motor but thats my fault for not doing more research. Live and learn.
  12. Your BTJ looks great. I know what you mean about leaving well enough alone. I cant do it either. Click on the link bellow to see what Ive done to mine. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/4933-lots-done-already/
  13. That looks awesome...Good job! What kind of subs and amps did you use? I did a system in my Journey also. I put my amps in the same place you put yours. I hate that I had to do an external sub box especially cause I have the 7 passenger but it sounds good. I have 1 10" Rockford Fosgate P3 10 and powering it is a Power Series RF 500x1 amp.
  14. Then he might have sold them already or he just hasn't re listed them.
  15. Mine are 20x9 with 275/40 tires and I dont have any rubbing at all, they dont stick out either.
  16. Correct.. I have NOT had any issues with rubbing or anything. All is good with my wheels and tires. No sticking out either.
  17. I did a small brake upgrade using good quality parts. New rotors and Wagner Ceramic Pads and I was very disappointed to find out that they still dont last as long as they should. The problem is that the Journey is too heavy for the smaller brakes. I decided to do the Big Brake conversion and wow what a difference. You may end up paying more for them upfront but in the long run you will be very pleased and they will last longer. Its all a straight bolt on conversion. There isnt anything custom needed to be done. You may find a 2013 Journey in your local junk yard.
  18. Have you ever heard of Hydro-graphics? Its a fast dipping process that can be done on most anything. There are hundreds of patterns to choose from. See the link bellow to see the process. There may be a dealer in your area that does it.
  19. 20x9's look great. I just put 20x9" SRT 8 Viper Wheels on my Journey and it looks mean. No rubbing.
  20. Here are my 20x9" Viper Wheels (Replicas). The tires are Yokohama Parada 275/40 R20. They didnt fit at first because I still had the smaller brakes and the caliper hit the center of the wheel. I changed out the brakes to the 2013 Journey brakes that I found at a junk yard with only 5,000 miles on them and the wheels went right on after that. I still have a very smooth ride. I dont feel any difference as far as smoothness but it corners like its on rails. Sorry for the bad lighting on the pictures. Ill take another on on a good sunny day and post it.
