How to disconnect negative battery cable
DTSGUY replied to Totemus's topic in Accessories, Modifications
I know exactly what you mean, those clips SUCK!! The bad thing is that those clips are all over the Journey and holds lots of things together. I used a small flat head screwdriver to get the center part to come up then I used needle nose pliers to grab the center stick and pull up. Once you pull it all the way up then the whole clip comes out. I broke a few myself. I went to a local body shop and got replacements from them. Im sure you could get some from your local body shop also. -
How to disconnect negative battery cable
DTSGUY replied to Totemus's topic in Accessories, Modifications
Yes there is. If you disconnect it I don't believe its a complete disconnect from the whole system like it is direct from the battery. I could be wrong on this though. It would be nice to know this answer for sure on both the positive and negative terminals that are in the engine compartment. -
Its looking great!

How to disconnect negative battery cable

It sounds harder than it really is. A couple weeks ago when I installed my audio system in my Journey I thought the same thing as you did but when I went to do it I turned the wheel all the way to the right and removed the plastic inner fender and the battery is right there. Its really not that hard to do. Its just awkward in placement. -
Only CANBUS LED bulbs worked on my Journey. I tried regular ones first and they didnt work at all.

They are in transit back to me right now. I should have them back on Tuesday April 22nd. Then I want to get the front plastic protected before I put them on. I want to protect my investment. Ive seen pictures of them and they look awesome. I had them add just a little red to them to go with the little bit of red that I have on my Journey.

Its just Opinion but all good.

The warm up process is only a few seconds like about 10 seconds but when you turn them on they do turn on immediately and gradually get brighter over the 10 second or so process and are available in the blue tint like you say you like. If you had them im sure you would like them cause they are really bright. Ive used really bright Halogen bulbs in the past that are also really bright but they only last for about 6 to 9 months.

Its just personal preference. I can understand what your saying when it comes to Auto Manufacture Names Like Dodge, Chevy, ect but when it comes to dealer stripes like the Dodge/Mopar ones in my opinion looks good. When you watch NASCAR you see the cars with all the advertisements on the cars and it looks good. I know they do it cause they have to because its their sponsors but it still looks good. So its kinda the same thing.

Fog Lights Before and after LED's
DTSGUY replied to DTSGUY's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
You can do an HID light conversion. If your really handy and know a bit about cars and electronics then you can do it yourself if not you will have to find a local car audio store that can do it for you. You should have gotten your lights from China by now. Sorry I dont know anyone that will ship to Canada. You would have to search online. -
I hope the Dip works for you. Ive used it on different parts and it looked great at first but it chips and peels easy. Dipping wheels I would think with rocks from the road would chip them fast. Good Luck and I hope im wrong for your sake.

I think it looks good! Nice!

Fog Lights Before and after LED's
DTSGUY replied to DTSGUY's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
The light output isnt fantastic but my HID's on my low beam's make up for it. I cant say that the LED's are any brighter than the stock one's but I like that they match my HID's in color. -
It looks great!

Aftermarket Amp success!
DTSGUY replied to travis9935's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
Nice! I just upgraded my system too but I have a 2010 and my radio is the kind that can be changed out to an aftermarket one. I changed everything and added 2 amps. I hope your enjoying yours. -

I got my LED fog lights today and here are the results. They were a great fit, easy to instal and brighter than the stock bulbs.
