The other day I was running some errands with the wife, this is her car, I only drive it maybe once or twice a week. We stopped by the carwash place to pick up the splash guards they got for us (one broke while using their carwash and they replaced the whole set for free). While I was sitting in the car, idling in park, waiting for her to come back, it started idling real rough. She got back in and I was like WTF is this. She stated it had been doing that for a week or so (thanks for telling me!!). I pulled out and it was running real sluggish and rough but then it cleared up and I didn't think anything else of it. The next morning she got in to go to work and the CEL came on right when she started it. Checked the code that evening. There is one dealer within 50 miles of me and they can't get us in until next Monday. I am parking it until then. If it is the cylinder head, I don't want to cause further damage. We have 6 vehicles, so we are not inconvenienced by not having it to drive.

Moved to the correct section. Welcome to the forum. A quick internet search for 2011 Dodge Journey power steering pump brings up several sites that sell them (U.S. of course). Only issue I know of is the hoses leaking in colder climate cars. There is a recall out for this.

If you look at the date of that post, 3 years ago and that member is no longer active. The fix is either the module or the intake itself. You can't repair the intake. It has to be replaced.

Yes. New about a year ago. Warning points awarded. 1 point you get a warning, 2 points, a 7 day ban, 3 points, a 30 day ban, 4 points a permanent ban. Only been used a couple times for a certain person who is no longer here.

While not the correct section for technical questions such as this, I will answer: The recall applies to Canadian models and certain US models equipped with an engine heater. i.e. cold climate cars. If this is your situation, I would bring this to the attention of your servicing dealer.

Personally I would let the dealer deal with it since you are under warranty.

Without the vehicle in front of me, I cannot comment on if it is safe to drive. Have another dealer or an independent shop perform an inspection for you if you cannot inspect the front suspension components yourself.

That does not change the basic method shown in the video.

Check the door sticker for max tow rating. IIRC the V6 is 2500 lbs. So, you need to find a boat that is within the allowable weight range for towing. Welcome to the forum.
