Don't remember anyone on here having to do this or has done this, may be wrong. I suggest picking up a Haynes manual, may have better luck that way. That being said, it should be similar to other transmissions if you have done this before. Remove a lot of stuff and unbolt it. Someone else may chime in. Welcome to the forum.

Successful BIG BRAKE upgrade on 2011 Crew
jkeaton replied to FROGBOX's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
There was no mention of this in the OP's original how-to. I wouldn't think the ABS or any other module wold know what size anything is downstream. A caliper is a caliper. What shop is doing this? And why are they calling Dodge in the first place? -
Locking thread since you say the same thing in this one. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/7840-dj-2010-res-upgrade-to-rb2-done-urgent-questions/

Look in your owners manual for anywhere that it states that....look in any owners manual of any vehicle. You wont find that listed as a recommended service. As Anthony said, total BS and a waste of money. I wish dealers knew how much they make themselves look like idiots for trying to upsell unnecessary services. I guess there are uneducated suckers out there that fall for it though. Dealers are out to make money. Any way they can. If it's not listed as a recommended service by the manufacturer of your vehicle, then it is unnecessary. If you do decide to have this service performed, be sure to have them check your blinker fluid and lube up your muffler bearings....

Ok. So in 500,000 miles it will pay for itself....IF you drive a long haul truck. Who keeps a car for 500,000 miles? If you do, more power to you. I have no argument with reducing drag = mileage savings, but seriously, this is like the age old cold air intake or eBay chip argument. Lol

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for personalizing, just be careful to not mis-represent any modification. Don't want to mislead people. The video clearly says this does nothing for mileage, so there will be zero "mpg and gas savings". You will have a cleaner rear window though.

Is the Dodge Journey oil filter really that special?
jkeaton replied to drjbg230's topic in Maintenance & D.Y.I.
I don't mind paying $10 maybe once a year. Depends on how often you change your oil I guess. -
LOL...that's cool. Maybe it's just me but I would have picked a better platform to tune if I wanted to start dumping mod money into a vehicle. There will never be enough aftermarket support to do the things any of us truly want to do so we are left with cheap gimmicks and homemade modifications. It's sad. There is a ton of potential in the engine, but it is still marketed as a family vehicle alternative to a minivan. But, rock on.

Let's not get into the fram filter argument again. We've been through that. -

Unfortunately there is not enough demand for a tuner for this vehicle. -
2015 Journey Tires w/ 20300 miles and they are crap
jkeaton replied to glwitzel's topic in Wheels & Tires
That is an entirely subjective question. The brand I think is best, someone will think is garbage. -

The oil filter is different, yes. You can buy them at most parts stores and even walmart. I think I pay @10 for one. They are not like other oil filters in that they are just the filter, not a metal case. It fits into a housing on the top of the engine. Now, how they can do away with the metal and charge more is beyond me, but that's why I do my own oil changes. I don't trust anyone besides the dealer and will only use them if I have a coupon. I have to ask though, why wouldn't you ask for a price upfront and not after? -

amazon -
I got mine off amazon, like $75 for the front and rear set. Just like the expensive, name brand ones but a third the cost. There are several existing threads on the subject. Edit: Heres the set. Looks like the price went up. I5t says 08-11, but it fit my 2013 just fine. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0077DT46O?keywords=Novline%202008-2011%20Dodge%20Journey%20Floor%20Mat&qid=1453740822&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1
