  1. Lots of info on the good ol web. http://carsintrend.com/2016-dodge-journey-review-and-release-date/
  2. Gotta pay to properly maintain vehicles.
  3. Have you inspected the rest of the undercarriage for possible sources? Go to lowes/home depot. I'm sure they have some kind of concrete cleaner.
  4. Obviously something to do with the transmission. Could be a sensor, could be something else. I would have it checked by a dealer or a reputable transmission shop. Probably sooner than later. Your car is telling you something is wrong. Continuing to drive could lead to transmission failure.
  5. I'll add my quick answer----buy your vehicles with the options you want installed already. I wonder if the OP will return?
  6. Agree with everything except the Kuhmo tires part.....have almost 40,000 miles on mine. They have been great. Some people love them, some hate them.
  7. Do some searching in this section. It has been discussed over and over.
  8. We are on a plan that is not offered by Allstate anymore, but they are honoring the terms, rates and conditions. I have 6 vehicles on my plan. 3 of which are full coverage. My son (23) and daughter (20) both have full coverage on their cars for the same rate as our DJ, so with the plan we are on, age makes no difference. Nor does being male or female. The rates are the same across the board. The only time it was expensive for them was when they first started driving and had the "inexperienced driver" surcharge which added about $50 a month for 3 years. They had to remain accident and ticket free for 3 years, which they both did, thankfully. I keep liability only on my car, truck and my daughters beater car. Liability costs about $150 every 6 months. Location does make a difference in big metropolitan areas. For example, in the DC area, there is a big difference in rates if you live inside the beltway compared to living outside the beltway. Credit score also plays into the picture. Remember, insurance companies are nothing more than financial institutions. The sad fact is, they are in business to make money and they make money, a lot of money. And they don't part with it easily.
  9. $350 every 6 months. $200 deductible, zero deductible comprehensive. Allstate. Been with them for over 25 years.
  10. Wonder if you got ahold of some bad gas or someone playing a prank with water or sugar. Have not heard of this problem before.

    Hello all.

    Welcome to the forum.
  12. Welcome to the forum. Can't help much with the info provided. Is the check engine light on? 2016. is under warranty. Drive or tow it to the dealer.
  13. Technically an SUV is a true body on frame vehicle. Yukon, Expedition, etc. back when they made them using the truck frame. A CUV is a unibody. But it seems no one worries to much about acronyms anymore. The Ford Explorer used to be a true SUV when it was made on the Ranger frame. Now it's unibody. But people still call it an SUV. Same with the Durango which used to be on a Dakota frame.
  14. The first car I ever owned with rear disks, 1991 Ford Taurus, had the pistons than needed to be turned in. I had never been exposed to that before and ruined a caliper trying to figure out how to compress it. I believe it has something to do with the parking brakes. I'm thinking some, like Chryslers with the drum brake parking brake system inside the rotor, don't need to be turned to compress. I don't know, either way, they have been around for a long time. All the vehicles I own now with 4 wheel disks, Ford, Dodge, Hyundai, Mitsubishi and Honda all need to have the piston turned to compress it.
  15. This has been discussed to death. Seems like all insurances designate them differently. CUV, SUV, Sport wagon. While truly a CUV, no one seems to agree and the lines are getting blurred. BTW, my insurance classifies it as a "Journey Truck".
  16. Ah, Ok, Then it is definitely worth pushing them on.
  17. I don't want them, just asking so others who might be interested would know.
  18. So are you AWD? Sorry, didn't see that.
