  1. Welcome to the forum. Can't help much with the info provided. Is the check engine light on? 2016. is under warranty. Drive or tow it to the dealer.
  2. Technically an SUV is a true body on frame vehicle. Yukon, Expedition, etc. back when they made them using the truck frame. A CUV is a unibody. But it seems no one worries to much about acronyms anymore. The Ford Explorer used to be a true SUV when it was made on the Ranger frame. Now it's unibody. But people still call it an SUV. Same with the Durango which used to be on a Dakota frame.
  3. The first car I ever owned with rear disks, 1991 Ford Taurus, had the pistons than needed to be turned in. I had never been exposed to that before and ruined a caliper trying to figure out how to compress it. I believe it has something to do with the parking brakes. I'm thinking some, like Chryslers with the drum brake parking brake system inside the rotor, don't need to be turned to compress. I don't know, either way, they have been around for a long time. All the vehicles I own now with 4 wheel disks, Ford, Dodge, Hyundai, Mitsubishi and Honda all need to have the piston turned to compress it.
  4. This has been discussed to death. Seems like all insurances designate them differently. CUV, SUV, Sport wagon. While truly a CUV, no one seems to agree and the lines are getting blurred. BTW, my insurance classifies it as a "Journey Truck".
  5. Ah, Ok, Then it is definitely worth pushing them on.
  6. I don't want them, just asking so others who might be interested would know.
  7. So are you AWD? Sorry, didn't see that.
  8. Front brakes do a much higher percentage of the braking than the rears. How hot they get is highly dependent on how you use your brakes. Do you ride with your foot resting on the brake pedal? Do you drive it like you stole it? Are you in constant stop and go or do repeated high speed stops? As stated, the 09's have undersized brakes, so, yes, they may get hotter than other vehicles which have adequately sized brakes.
  9. I should have clarified, American cars....lol
  10. Rear disk brakes have always needed to be turned to seat. You can buy a kit from Harbor Freight for about $30 that has adapters for all makes and models.
  11. Check superbrightLED's, they have a bulb chart for cross referencing
  12. I used that stuff once trying to "smoke" a chrome appearance strip on my Dakota front bumper. The stuff looked like crap. I prepped the surface appropriately as well. Ended up having to buy another trim piece because it messed it up so bad.
  13. Should still have balance of factory warranty in effect depending on the mileage.
  14. I agree. Where did you buy it? You should question that seller, or take it to a Dodge dealer.
  15. I agree. Now what are you doing? Also, use the search function. There is a thread describing grill removal. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/2904-front-grille/
  16. Lesson learned I hope. Open your hood every now and then and check fluid levels. I do this every time I wash the car. Once a month at least. Call me old school but I don't put much faith in electronics telling me when to do things.
  17. Hence my reference only post. If you want true MPG, calculate by hand.
  18. Find another dealer then. You have a warranty, you should use it.

    Hello all

Welcome to the forum. Use the search function before asking questions. 9 times out of 10, there is already an existing thread on whatever subject you need to discuss.
  20. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Calculate manually to see the real mileage. Consider the DTE and MPG readouts to be "reference only".
