  1. What year? What engine? How long has this been going on? Does it eventually correct itself? Is the check engine light on? Kinda hard to guess what the reason is without providing more detail.
  2. Quickest way to ruin a paint job is to use dish detergent to wash it. The detergents break down the wax, stripping it away and leaving your paint dull and unprotected. The one exception is when you are trying to strip the wax before using a clay bar. In that case dish detergent works perfectly.
  3. This ^^ Do some simple troubleshooting before just buying new parts.
  4. Welcome to the forum!
  5. In know this is old, but there is so much wrong with the OP's post: Not sure I understand. He apparently read the owners manual, did not he not get to the part where it states fluid capacities? "drained more oil out than the manual says"?? Where does it tell you not to drain all the oil out when changing the oil?
  6. Won't start as in dead battery Won't start as in dead battery or turns over and won't start? So you apparently do get it started because you took it in all three times.....
  7. If you have nothing on the roof, you probably cannot use a rooftop carrier. Most require at least the side rails. Mine is similar to this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-Roof-Cargo-Top-Vehicle-Luggage-Rack-Bag-Storage-Carrier-Rainproof-Rooftop-/231553155508?hash=item35e9a4c1b4&vxp=mtr
  8. What year? Some years have cross bars, some don't. I have one if those collapsible ones I got off eBay for like $30. It works well for me.
  9. Can't please everyone all the time.
  10. Not enough meat on those tires. Too much wheel well gap. ^^
  11. I have changed mine every 5000/6 months since we got it. This time I'm waiting on the light to come on.
  12. I'd just go to a local parts store and buy some mid-grade rotors and pads. Ordering them, if something is wrong or whatever, it's a pain, plus the way they throw around packages, one could get damaged. Buy from a local parts store and usually get a decent warranty, lifetime usually on pads. I'll buy a lot of stuff online, but brakes, I just buy local.
  13. Yes, every state has big cities that have bad areas. The south is not immune either. I lived in western Md. Very pretty country. Mostly farming when we lived there. It was just my 30 mile commute to Arlington, VA. every day, that was a killer commute. Sometimes took as long as 2-1/2 to 3 hours to get home in the afternoon. Had to get away from that rat race. Only went to Baltimore a couple of times, inner harbor has some really good seafood restaurants.
  14. We took our 09 4 cylinder on a trip to the beach a few years ago. 5 people insode, loaded with luggage in the luggage area and a roof top carrier. Thwe car took it all in stride and amnaged about 20 mpg. Like stated, you just gotta realize it takes a littele bit longer to get going. But once you are cruising in the power band, its a very capable engine despite pulling around all that weight. That being said, not that I have the 3.6, I'll never go back to the 4 cylinder,,,,lol
  15. Lord I lived in Md for about 10 years. One thing that is almost impossible to do is register a car from another state. The inspection laws are ridiculouosly rigid. (they were then anyway). I understand once it is inspected, you dont have to have them done again, but geesh what a racket. They ALWAYS find something to adjust or needs to be fixed (headliight aiming was something they always got you on). I had a car fail because my speedometer wiggled a little bit when it got to 55 mph.
  16. What is the oil change interval?
  17. Every year in NC. Based on the month the car is registered. Here they tie property tax into the renewal. So, if you don't pay your property taxes, you can't renew your license. The actual costs vary depending on the appraised value of the car, truck, RV, etc. For the DJ, the firt year we bought it, it was over $300 (U.S.) to get the car renewed, my truck, on the other hand, costs about $50 to renew because it's old and not worth much.

I can't either. You can pm the admin (Robert Lane) and see if he can help.
  19. Online. The only reason I ever go to the DMV is for my drivers license renewal or when I buy a used car from a private seller and I have to get new tags/title/registration. Never a pleasant experience.
  20. Try another dealer. Take them on a test drive with you and show them. Force the issue. ABS does not kick in unless there is wheel slippage or skidding detected.
  21. There are quite a few existing threads on here if you search.
