  1. No, it would not affect your mileage going to an aluminum wheel.
  2. Sounds like an electrical issue. Bad alternator. Flaky power causes all kinds of mysterious issues on todays computer controlled cars. I hope they get it fixed.

    Window trim

    It's the italian translation.
  4. Technically you are correct but us old folks still refer to them as hubcaps....lol

    Hello all

Welcome to the forum. Personally I wouldnt waste money on a new intake. Factory one flows pretty well and the only thing it will do for you is make a cool sound.
  6. Yeah that ^^ Lock up converter effectivy "locks" the converter so there is no slippage.
  7. Standard features is what comes on the standard model. Then you can have optional features added. i.e. you could have a base model with optional wheels installed. Take a picture of your wheels and post it here that way we can make bloody sure what you have. If you have steel wheels with hub caps, the hubcaps are held on by the lug nuts, but it you remove the lug nuts and the wheel, the plastic hub cap will come off. On aluminum wheels, there is no hubcap. It's all wheel. On the chrome clad aluminum wheels, yes there is a plastic chromed cap over the aluminum, but it is not removable without a ton of work. It is epoxied to the aluminum. So, you have 3 choices: steel wheels with hub caps, aluminum wheels, or chrome clad aluminum wheels.
  8. Steel wheels need hub caps (normally). Aluminum wheels are styled without the need for hub caps. Steel wheels with hubcaps are usually found on the base models of any vehicle.Steel is cheaper than aluminum. The higher you go up in trim level results in higher quality aluminum wheels. Right up to the much sought after plastic chrome clad aluminum wheels. As to which is better? Personal preference. Steel rusts, aluminum corrodes. Aluminum is lighter though. Steel: Aluminum:
  9. Welcome to the forum!
  10. Everyone will have different opinions. Kinda like asking what is the best tire, or best paint color. I'm a magnaflow person. Can't stand flowmaster.
  11. You don't put fruit in beer!! Unless you like those girl drinks. ; )
  12. I don't have issue filling, just getting it completely full.
  13. Most all vehicle manufacturers use chrome plastic clad wheels instead of real chrome. Ford has them on their top of the line king ranch F-150, a $65,000 truck. Had them on my 2005 Dakota. They've been doing it awhile. Believe it or not, they hold up better than true chrome and if you do happen to damage one, you can replace the cover instead of replacing the whole wheel. Dee, you paid over $30k for a base SE?
  14. Really though. The battery is not that hard to get to should you need to. We had the original battery in our 09 when we traded it in last year. I just replaced the battery in my truck. It was a 3 year battery and had a date of 2008 on it, so that Walmart 3 year battery lasted almost 6 years. You should not be so concerned as to question the purchase.
  15. It's a lifetime battery. Just keep your car plugged in every night.
  16. SE is base model. No frills. Steel wheels and plastic hubcaps.
  17. Whatever you do, dont clear the code before taking it in to the dealer. They need to be able to diagnose. Without the code, they wil send you on your merry way saying "unable to duplicate the problem".
  18. Close to 60 here today but rainy and wet. That's something in the 15's to you Canadian folks, eh?
  19. Without knowing the code, all we can do is guess. Disconnected wire, hose, vacuum line, etc.
  20. Take it to any auto parts store. They will scan it for free. Buy yourself a code reader. You can get them for less than $20. Best tool you can have in your toolbox for modern day vehicles. The code will tell you exactly what's wrong.
  21. Mine takes 6 as well. Every time I keep forgetting and only buy a 5qt jug and have to go back and by another quart which brings it right to the full mark. Iirc, owners manual says 6. And it's true, the days of "break in" oil that needs to be changed at 1000 miles are long gone.
