  1. Op is talking about closing them automatically, not opening.
  2. Thats what I'm saying. It takes all of what, 5 seconds to roll the windows up??
  3. That shine is a mile deep!
  4. Thats good. You are an informed consumer. I cant count how many times I've heard horror stories from folks who have bought used vehicles with guarantees that it was 1) never in an accident, 2) had all recalls performed, 3) owned by a little old lady who hardly ever drove it, 4) Transmission/engine, etc has been rebuilt, and come to find out none is true. Our DJ is still covered by the factory bumper to bumper, plus we purchased a 7 year 100k bumper to bumper on top of that. I, again, feel confident about this purchase from Carmax. Until they screw me over, I will continue to use them. Who knows, maybe they are baiting me. On a side note, I would not use them to purchase a truly "used" vehicle. We have only purchased ones that are 1-2 years old and have low mileage. I use craigslist if I'm looking for an older, higher mileage "beater" vehicle, knowing that I will have to do some sort of repairs, catch-up maintenance on my own.
  5. I guess a lot of people forget to roll their windows up in Brazil. : )
  6. AVS here too. I only wish I had bought the in channel vent visors. The stick on ones look, well, stuck on.
  7. I agree. There is always a certain amount of risk purchasing a used vehicle from any source. It is up to the buyer to do his/her research and become an informed consumer. That same report could be repeated at countless used car dealerships around the country. They just picked carmax because it's a known operation.
  8. I have purchased 4 vehicles from them, including my current DJ. Never had an issue, problem or complaint. I rank 20/20 stories right up there with supermarket tabloids. Anything for ratings. Just like car reviews. I prefer to form my own opinions based on my personal experience.
  9. lol....dealerships are pretty funny sometimes. Thats why we use Carmax. No pressure, no "I gotta go talk to the manager" crap. Sorry it did not work out for you.
  10. I base my opinions on real world experiences. The DJ we had before was a very dependable vehicle for being the first year of production. Main reason we got another. I put zero faith in magazine/online reviews by these outfits that get paid to review things.
  11. Guess you have to start by looking under the seat to see if anything is obstructing it. Then make sure the lever us pulling whatever it is that unlatches the seat from the track.
  12. Then here's your chance to produce and star in your very first you tube how-to video.
  13. Moving to the correct section. Hopefully you got a warranty. Used car buying is a shot in the dark.
  14. Try harder. They are there.
  15. Not aware of one on here. Might try google.
  16. Oh Lord, not again..... http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/6129-journey-rolls-on-hills-when-in-drive/?hl=%2Bstop+%2Blight#entry40830 Completely normal. Keep your foot on the brake.
  17. I have to admit, for the miniscule amounts of snow we get here, FWD does just fine, but, we were in NY last weekend where there was basically a blizzard with close to 10" when we arrived at our destination. FWD sucked. Would not get us up the unplowed mountain road. I had to turn the traction control off to keep the front wheels moving because a couple times it seemd like I lost power completely to the front wheels. flooring it resulted in nothing. No spinning, no revving of the engine, etc. Once I turned the TC off and they plowed the road once, I was able to make it up.
  18. ^^ This. If it is not installed by the dealer, they will not honor warranty claims.
