  1. Then here's your chance to produce and star in your very first you tube how-to video.
  2. Moving to the correct section. Hopefully you got a warranty. Used car buying is a shot in the dark.
  3. Try harder. They are there.
  4. Not aware of one on here. Might try google.
  5. Oh Lord, not again..... http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/6129-journey-rolls-on-hills-when-in-drive/?hl=%2Bstop+%2Blight#entry40830 Completely normal. Keep your foot on the brake.
  6. I have to admit, for the miniscule amounts of snow we get here, FWD does just fine, but, we were in NY last weekend where there was basically a blizzard with close to 10" when we arrived at our destination. FWD sucked. Would not get us up the unplowed mountain road. I had to turn the traction control off to keep the front wheels moving because a couple times it seemd like I lost power completely to the front wheels. flooring it resulted in nothing. No spinning, no revving of the engine, etc. Once I turned the TC off and they plowed the road once, I was able to make it up.
  7. ^^ This. If it is not installed by the dealer, they will not honor warranty claims.
  8. Welcome to the forum. I don't know anyone who has done an engine replacement on a DJ so I can't offer any help.
  9. OK, went from a technical thread to a hockey thread. Lets get back on topic. Maybe start a sports thread in the Lounge?
  10. "They recommend", meaning the dealer? Of course the dealer is going to recommend a lot of things that are just not necessary, thats the way they make money, selling unnecessary services. Always, always, always consult your owners manual for recommended maintenance intervals and services. The vehicle manufacturer knows best. Learn how to work on it yourself to save labor charges. I don't use the dealer for anything other than warranty work.
  11. We had our 09 for 4 years and had 80k when we traded it in....got just shy of 23k on our 2013 (took a lot of trips the first year lol). The DJ is the primary "family" vehicle and the wife drives it 90% of the time. We normally trade every 4-5 years so she gets a new one to drive. Doubt we will see 100k on this one either.
  12. Yup : ) It's one thing to moan and complain, but at least ask for help in resolving issues. It's quite another just to join a forum and complain and bash and say the old: "I'll never buy a Dodge again!!!" Jeesh, if I had that attitude everytime something I bought had a problem, I would have nothing to own because I "would never buy another one".
  13. I swear...another one bitch wonder....some people....smdh
  14. If you mean the diameter of the ends are smaller than the "fingers" that hold the ends of the bulb, I just squeezed the fingers together so it holds the bulb tight.
  15. I never had any HID issues with the 09, had them in both low and hifgh beams. Plug and play. I'm about to find out if the 2013 is the same.
  16. Yes, we know you have brake problems. No need to post in every thread about it. Also, my DJ has zero brake problems, so your statement has no merit. I realize you need to vent but really..
  17. Not disagreeing with you cause everyone uses different terms, but a shimmy to me is a cyclic vibration that comes and goes at a constant speed. I.e. It's there one minute, gone the next, but starts again. On my Dakota, there was a shimmy and it was caused by out of balance tires. It was a vibration I could feel everywhere. Seat, floor, steering wheel.
  18. Start with a tire rotation and balance.
