  1. LOL...making sure everyone is paying attention.... B)
  2. Unnecessary revving sounds???? Is accompanied by unnecessary acceleration? While driving? Stopped at a light? In park, drive? Could you be a little more descriptive?
  3. You can use this link to request a buiklt sheet for your vehicle. This will show if TPMS was factory installed. http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/emailpage.html?appStr=wccs&titleStr=Contact+Dodge&familyStr=brand&franchise=D&actionURL=%2Fwccs%2Fbrand_forms%2Fus%2Fwebform.jsp&promotion=null&category=U
  4. It's a wonder they don't make owners manuals optional equipment since hardly anybody references them for maintanance needs anymore.
  5. Welcome to the forum! Glad to have another Chrysler expert. Not sure how to go about getting the build status. Someone will chime in with the necessary information I'm sure.
  6. Probably about 8". Not much. We have one of those roof cargo carriers if we have to use the rear seats for passengers.
  7. I don't know anything other than what thepackages state. If yours should have had it and doesn't, then you have a leg to stand on. Otherwise, it was not standard equipment in whatever package you purchased.
  8. Are you AWD? Otherwise, nothing is going on in the rear end of a FWD car that would cause your problem on acceleration, unless it is a low traction situation and you are AWD and the AWD system is working by transferring torque between the front and rear drive systems to maintain traction.
  9. Was actually my daugher driving when she was first learning.....both of us were looking at some fool on the side of the road burning weeds with a backpack torch....off the road she went. Totally my fault for distracting her.
  10. Yes thats about right. Hit a mailbox with my Dakota. Replaced a headlight, passenger side mirror and the antenna. Approximately $300 in parts. The rest was labor and paint for a $1400 final cost. Filling in the scratch and repainting was @$1100 of the final cost. Labor rates are ridiculous. Luyckily insurance covered it and we have that accidenrt forgivness thing with Allstate, so my premium did not go up with the claim.
  11. What looks rice imo, is that is the only red on the car. They stand out like a huge wing on a civic. Maybe if there were some other red accents as mentioned they swould lot stand out like a sore thumb. Sorry, I just don't look at that and go "wow, bad a$$". More like "wtf, did he run over a puddle of red paint?"... You asked for opinions.
  12. It would probably have to be factory authorized repair facility to perform factory TSB's.
  13. No, just stated in the build sheet.
  14. I do not know why they dont badge them differently. Ours just has SXT badges. Didn't know about the "Hero" thing until I got my build sheet. Must be some deep dark corporate secret...
  15. ^^ This. It's your car, if you want ot bypass safety systems, that is up to you. I imagine there might be warranty issues though, if you have a newer model still under warranty and possible insurance issues. Hopefully you have an earlier model without the active headrests, otherwise, I'd return what you bought and get the kind that strap on as suggested above.
  16. SXT = Hero. No difference. "The new Dodge brand lifestyle models are aimed at consumers who want the most out of life rather than models that indicate only how much they were able to afford with the previous good, better and best lineup,” a Chrysler spokesman said via email about the name changes. “They are also intended to convey our new attitude.” Srarting with the 2010 Dodge Journey: There are more variations now available in terms of packages, which bundle options together. Currently, you can get an SE for $20,490, and the next step up to the SXT jumps to $23,790. The new variations have added three trims that fall between what was the SE and SXT. Formerly SE, SXT, R/T Now Dodge Journey (no trim level designation) $20,320 17-inch aluminum wheels, cruise control, sunscreen glass, body-colored mirrors, floormats and passenger grab handles. 17. You can use this link to request a build sheet as well. http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/emailpage.html?appStr=wccs&titleStr=Contact+Dodge&familyStr=brand&franchise=D&actionURL=%2Fwccs%2Fbrand_forms%2Fus%2Fwebform.jsp&promotion=null&category=U In the area that says "Briefly describe" put "Vehicle Build Sheet". If you want to elaborate a little more as to why you want your build sheet, use the additional information area. Welcome to the forum!
  18. Sometimes things break. The joy of automobile ownership.
  19. I see nothing wrong with it. Sometimes all you can do is say "I feel your pain".
