  1. Man I'd jump all over those except they are 19"......tires for 19" wheels are so hard to come by and really expensive where I am.
  2. I didn't even know mine were plastic until someone told me,.
  3. Gluing a chromed piece of plastic to a steel wheel is much cheaper than actually "chroming" the wheel.
  4. Well they should come off when you take the lug nuts off. The confusion is, you keep saying "chrome clad wheels/hubcaps". It's either one or the other. Chrome clad wheels or chrome clad hub caps. Completely different things. There are OEM chrome wheels, but they are steel or aluminum wheels with a chrome "cladding". I've seen them, and want them too. my Dakota had aluminum wheels with plastic chrome cladding to make them look like chrome wheels, but they were attached to the aluminum and you coul;d not remove it, well you could, but it would break the chrome and leave a mess underneath.
  5. Yeah, that....do you have chrome clad wheels or hub caps?
  6. Welcome! Coming to the US to visit or stay?
  7. According to the manual, the rear outlet is only on in ACC or run. I did not see a mention of moving a fuse or anything about a relay. The rear outlet is on the same circuit as the dash lights and a few other things.
  8. I think there was a tsb on that a couple years ago. Seemed to be a problem across platforms (dodge, jeep, etc). I think it required a software update from the dealer. Welcome to the forum!
  9. Yep, expect to have to replace them again sooner than later.
  10. Brakes were terrible from 09 till sometime in 2012 when they upgraded from the factory. Yours must still have the too small brakes. Do yourself a favor and replace everything with quality aftermarket parts, not dealer installed parts. They will last much longer. You can get yourself some decent pads and new rotors much cheaper and install them yourself to save a ton of money. Its not that hard to do.
  11. I will be devils advocate on the new vs used. IF you keep a car forever, i.e. drive it into the ground, then yes, new is better BUT if you are like me, I trade vehicles every 3-4 years so buying new all the time would put me upside down real quick. We bought or 2013 with a little over 9000 miles on it for less than $18,000. Got the balance of the factory warranty plus a 7 year 100000 mile warranty. I never buy new simply for the fact I dont keep them long enough to make it financially viable. This is our second DJ and I can honestly say it wont be the last.....
  12. I'd like to know as well cause I want the rear outlet always hot. I'll have to look into this. I know on my Dakota, I could switch a fuse position to go from switched to always on.
  13. Yes. That is fairly standard since the front brakes do probably 80% of the work.

    Bag hooks

Cargo net works wonders. As stated, bread and eggs go in the back seat by themselves.
  15. The "sandwich" part makes sense if all other air bags deploy. But the OP said they were "tapped" by another car, leading me to believe the headrest just popped out on it's own. No air bag deployment. So I could just picture backing into another car at slow speed, like in a parking lot, and that thing popping out and smacking you on the back of the head.
  16. I'm still not eaxctly sure of the purpose of such a thing.....reverse whiplash?
  17. One thing to keep this from ever happening again is to request the old parts. Then you can confirm parts were actually replaced and compare if you think they somehow used different parts. Now I know this cannot be a 100% foolproof method, but it keeps them honest. If you find a shop that will go as far as handing you over some junk yard part just to give you something, then they got a lot more problems than just shoddy wormanship going on.
  18. Thank you.....The things people get so upset about sometimes....lol
  19. If you have a warranty, they should replace it. Otherwise, you have to replace it yourself. All vehicles have brake problems at some point or another. Yiou should check out a Caravan forum as well.
  20. We went through 4 winters and a bit of snow here and there with our FWD 09. It was a trooper in the snow, even with the factory Kumho's. As stated, if you are that concerned, get some snow tires and understand it is NOT a 4wd vehicle and most likely wont get you through 3' snows. If you drive it like you know what your doing and understand the capabilities, you will be fine.
