  1. Like I said in the other thread. No way would I spend $600 for cheap, chinese headlights. They will probably fill up with water or condensation at the first rain storm.
  2. $600 for cheap, chinese made headlights? Not me man.
  3. Yeah, I got an app on my phone so I can track intervals. Got it set for 6000 miles or 6 months. I have 5 vehicles, so I gotta keep track of all the maintenance somehow! lol
  4. I'm with Terry. I love chrome wheels.
  5. First oil change. Did not wait for the stupid oil change indicator to come on. We've had it for 6 months and about 6000 miles. Thats about all I can stand for oil change intervals. Walmart had Valvoline Synpower on sale for $20 for a 5 qt jug, then found out it takes 6 quarts....
  6. Man thats nice, the only place I can get them around here is Oreillys. Walmart does not carry them.
  7. No. If you dont have the phone buttons on the steering wheel, you dont have bluetooth.
  8. Over the past weekend, we drove to Illinois for my nephews high school graduation. (Lake Villa, Ill, to be exact) total miles @1600, or so. The DJ was a complete joy to drive. Smooth and comfortable (even around the horribly winter impacted roads around Indiana, whose roads give new meaning to the word "pot hole"). We drove straight through both ways, 13 hours at a time. We managed a respectable 28 MPG for the entire trip which included some serious congestion around Indianapolis, Dayton and Chicago. All in all, very pleased with this vehicle. Not a single hickup anywhere. Got a 4 day weekend coming up and going to treat her with an oil change and good wash, wax and detail since she treated us so well. Count me in with the "Love my DJ" crowd!
  9. We had to install an aftermarket keyless system on our 09 SE. I dont think the SE came from the factory with keyless. If your FOB does not have buttons on it, you do not have keyless from the factory and you will need to install "everything" as the dealer advises. I got my aftermarket one installed for @$100 from best buy.
  10. The recall applies to all Journey's. Dont let the dealer jerk you around.
  11. Much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, keep it that way.... : )
  12. They grow up fast. Enjoy them while you can!

    love tap

Opinionated much? Not being from here I guess you dont undestand the older generations love affair with big old land yacht's. There was a time when gas was 25 cents a gallon and ther only cars offered were even bigger than the Crown Vic. You dont understand because you come from the land of compact diesels. If Europe is so great, why'd you leave?
  14. Brake switch is activated by the brake pedal arm under the dash.
  15. Same here. Never had a problem. Only time I ever did have a problem with washing engines was my camaro when I soaked the optispark (distributor) and ruined it. The thing costs $250 to replace and mounted behind the water pump (stupid design), you can imagine what it takes to replace it, especially on the 3rd gen Camaros with the LT1. Everything had to be done from underneath. Your engine will thank you for it. Runs cooler without all that junk built up on it, increases resale value, plus you dont get all greasy and dirty if you have to work on it.
  16. i dont often say "take it to the dealer" but obviously you have some electrical gremlin that is not going to be easy to diagnose via internet forum. I concur with the decision to take it to the dealer. They are equipped to deal with issues such as these, unless you are willing to start removing door panels and get into the inner workings/wiring of the switches.
  17. There was no apology in there....I was quoting Dick Dasterdly, but should have said "Curses, foiled again"....
  18. I'd also do some basic maintenance while your in there if it has been that long since you opened the hood and checked anything.
