    love tap

Opinionated much? Not being from here I guess you dont undestand the older generations love affair with big old land yacht's. There was a time when gas was 25 cents a gallon and ther only cars offered were even bigger than the Crown Vic. You dont understand because you come from the land of compact diesels. If Europe is so great, why'd you leave?
  4. Brake switch is activated by the brake pedal arm under the dash.
  5. Same here. Never had a problem. Only time I ever did have a problem with washing engines was my camaro when I soaked the optispark (distributor) and ruined it. The thing costs $250 to replace and mounted behind the water pump (stupid design), you can imagine what it takes to replace it, especially on the 3rd gen Camaros with the LT1. Everything had to be done from underneath. Your engine will thank you for it. Runs cooler without all that junk built up on it, increases resale value, plus you dont get all greasy and dirty if you have to work on it.
  6. i dont often say "take it to the dealer" but obviously you have some electrical gremlin that is not going to be easy to diagnose via internet forum. I concur with the decision to take it to the dealer. They are equipped to deal with issues such as these, unless you are willing to start removing door panels and get into the inner workings/wiring of the switches.
  7. There was no apology in there....I was quoting Dick Dasterdly, but should have said "Curses, foiled again"....
  8. I'd also do some basic maintenance while your in there if it has been that long since you opened the hood and checked anything.
  9. Who told you they were bad to begin with?
  10. You went a year without ever opening the hood?
  11. Please start a new thread.
  12. Use the search function as stated. Plenty of topics on the subject.
  13. Sweet! I like the gas door!
  14. Ahh, we did have an issue with the cruise control. Seemed like it would lose 5 mph going up a hill before it would speed back up. Gottas check and see if it fixed that. Thanks.
  15. Thanks Regina....any way to findout what the updates are supposed to fix/update??
  16. I don't know man, around here I cant even find stock size 19" tires for the DJ. I can go up one size and there are a couple, but dang they are expensive, I mean like the cheapest is $190 a tire.
  17. Well, we have had our 2013 SXT for about 6 months now, bought used from Carmax with just under 13,000 miles, we now have @17,000 miles. Got a "free 23 point check" coupon from our local Dodge dealer, so I wanted to get it in and have it checked over, get it into their system, etc. Getting ready for a 1600 mile round trip to Chicago next week, so wanted to get things checked out. The only issues I have noticed are a clunk in the trans when going from rev to drive and drive to rev sometimes and the (to me) too soon upshifts into higher gears. Everything checked out fine on it. They did 3 "flash updates" and wanted to see if anyone knows what exactly was updated (my wife took it in, so she did not think to ask). I know the pcm is powertrain and the bcm is body, sccm has me stumped..... Software flash for PCM FLASH1 Software flash for BCM FLASH2 Software flash for SCCM FLASH3
  18. haha...I just noticed this. Repping Chevy with a Dodge!
  19. Ha!! My wife did the same thing. "Hey honey look, theres a key inside!!". I promptly showed her the owners manual and said RTFM!
  20. YTou need to get the vehicle to a shop, dealer, somwehere to have it looked at and fixed. Sounds like the master cylinder is the problem.
