  7. Oh....d@mn metric thing......still, 44k miles out of OEM Kuhmos aint nothing to complain about. There are some 50 and 60k tires out there. Pretty hard compound though, might make the ride a little rougher. When it comes to tires, I don't expect more than 40,000 miles, if I get more thats great. I dont keep a car past 100,000 miles (the primiary car anyway). Usually put one set on in that time. I can live with having to buy one set of tires for a vehicle I keep for maybe 4-5 years.
  8. Guess we will never know the outcome.
  9. You can mount them anywhere you want. On my 09, I just found spots on the inner fender in the engine compartment. Find a spot and mount them. I just used velcro.
  10. I don't understand what the issue is. That's what brakes are made for, stopping. Sure, maybe some vehicles will hold a position on an incline without having to use the brake, then some don't. Use the brake. Not all transmissions are the same. Personally I don't like to have the trans itself keep me from rolling anywhere. If I want to stop, I use the brake. If I don't want to roll anywhere, I use the brake. It is nothing to be concerned about. IMO, it's bad for a trans to do that, kinda like the people who hold a manual transmission car in place on a hill by keeping the clutch partially engaged instead of pushing the clutch all the way in and using the brake.
  11. You got 71,000 miles out of a set of tires and you want longer life??? Thats almost twice as long as most get with kuhmos. Maybe if you went to a solid rubber tire it will last longer. I would not complain at all about getting 71,000 miles out of a set of tires. I'd be bragging about it.
  12. Get the code read and you will find the problem.
  13. What is the blower setting and what is the HVAC setting (AC, heat, defrost, etc)? If you turn the HVAC completely off, does it still do it? Coaxing more info.....
  14. Not enough info to properly begin to diagnose. From the engine? Windows? Exhaust? Details, details, details.....
  15. That cable is a jumper from the neg terminal on the battery to the post in the engine compartment, so disconnecting that cable from the post isolates the battery. It is connected to nothing else.
  16. Isnt there a neg terminal in the engine compartment for when you have to jump it?
