  1. You pressure wash your car? Ouch. Pressure washers are for decks and sidewalks. Not for washing cars.
  2. Come on man.....no links to the item? No install how-to??? Whats up with that???
  3. Welcome to the forum and sorry for your troubles. We loved our 09 DJ so much we traded it in on a 2013. Obsolutely love it.
  4. I doubt the tuning is the "exact same" as the Avenger. Maybe the same engine, but completely different vehicle and tuned differently.
  5. Unfortunately the DJ is not marketed to the "tuner" crowd, even though many of us would like to mod our DJ's. There is not enough market to support the development.
  6. Body has not changed, I believe it shold fit. I would call a dealer parts dept. to double check.
  7. Happy to hear someone else is pleased with the DJ. We absolutely love ours! The only complaint is that bright red paint shows dirt so easily.....I wash it like twice a week...lol
  8. If the grills dont pop out then you have to remove the whole side panel.
  9. I took mine off. Easier to keep paint off areas you dont eant painted that way. I did not disconnect the brake line, just removed the caliper from the spindle and took the pads off.
  10. Is it AWD? If so, I would suspect the CV joint. If not, jack up the rear end and spin the wheel and see if you can pinpoint where it's coming from. Has it always done it or just recently started? Is the noise noticeable inside or outside or both? Have you done any inspection of the wheel/tire/brakes?

    Welcome to the forum!
  14. Sorry, I had to park in the spot normally reserved for sacrificial slaughters.... B)
  15. I used spray on primer and spray on caliper paint.
  16. No. Brakes are considered "wear" parts and not covered by warranty.
  17. No front strut issues with either our 09 or 2013. If you dont know the history get it fixed and rock on.
  18. You do one at a time. Dont need to have the car on blocks with all 4 wheels removed. But anyhoo. Your call. Just providing an option. I painted the calipers on my sons Tiburon 3 years ago when he first went off to college. Still look good to this day. Sure, they get dirty, but just take a brush and soapy water, good as new. No flaking or peeling. I used caliper paint you can buy at any auto parts store. I guess this is more of a project for do-it-yourselfers like myself. You want to pay someone to do it for you, go ahead. I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't. Total investment was just under $17 for the paint and probably 3 hours of my time.
  19. Why? Paint dont take 24 hours to dry, mine were dry in about an hour. I mean, use good judgement and all, dont go driving in a downpour right after painting. Those instructions are guidelines only, and mainly for the people who would drive in rain right after painting and blame the paint supplier cause it ruined the calipers.
  20. Paint them yourself. I've painted many calipers and can have it done in under 2-3 hours. Not down for a whole day.....remove calipers, tape off/mask what you dont want to get paint on, clean, prime, paint. For examplel I just painted the calipers on my Eclipse last Saturday. Painted them body color.
  21. Antilock brakes only "pulse" when wheel lockup is detected. You wont feel pulsing under normal braking, even "panic" braking unless it gets to the point where the wheel is beginning to lock up. The antilock system is not adjustable.
