  1. No. Brakes are considered "wear" parts and not covered by warranty.
  2. No front strut issues with either our 09 or 2013. If you dont know the history get it fixed and rock on.
  3. You do one at a time. Dont need to have the car on blocks with all 4 wheels removed. But anyhoo. Your call. Just providing an option. I painted the calipers on my sons Tiburon 3 years ago when he first went off to college. Still look good to this day. Sure, they get dirty, but just take a brush and soapy water, good as new. No flaking or peeling. I used caliper paint you can buy at any auto parts store. I guess this is more of a project for do-it-yourselfers like myself. You want to pay someone to do it for you, go ahead. I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't. Total investment was just under $17 for the paint and probably 3 hours of my time.
  4. Why? Paint dont take 24 hours to dry, mine were dry in about an hour. I mean, use good judgement and all, dont go driving in a downpour right after painting. Those instructions are guidelines only, and mainly for the people who would drive in rain right after painting and blame the paint supplier cause it ruined the calipers.
  5. Paint them yourself. I've painted many calipers and can have it done in under 2-3 hours. Not down for a whole day.....remove calipers, tape off/mask what you dont want to get paint on, clean, prime, paint. For examplel I just painted the calipers on my Eclipse last Saturday. Painted them body color.
  6. Antilock brakes only "pulse" when wheel lockup is detected. You wont feel pulsing under normal braking, even "panic" braking unless it gets to the point where the wheel is beginning to lock up. The antilock system is not adjustable.
  7. If you have tried searching other places (ebay, amazon, etc) and cant find them then, yes, dealer.

    Welcome to the forum!
  9. Perfectly happy with the mileage our DJ gives us considering the capabilities. If we were worried about mileage, we would have bought a prius.
  10. OK, If you have turned them on, what are you wanting to know? If you mean the dealer says you have to turn them on through the radio, either, like 2late4u says, take it back and make the lazy bozo's turn them on for you, or look in the owners manual, it should tell you. I would not have accepted it if I wanted them on and they did not turn them on for me.

    Hi

    Welcome to the community.
  13. I'm going to assume it is due to the CanBus system on these cars. The typical "wiring" you see on other/older cars carries voltages, therefore you need separate wires for each bulb filamant in a dual filament bulb. I'm only guessing here, but due to the CanBus (which is more of like a "data highway"), there are not separate wires and the computer just turns on whichever filament is needed on the same wire. Thats all I can think of. IIRC, everything electrical wise on these cars needs to be "CanBus" compatible.
  14. In know, right? On a 4 year old vehicle?
  15. You buy from a dealer or private seller? Any kind of warranty offered if from a dealer? How many miles? How do you know it needs an engine mount?
  16. Then I suggest a little more research is in order. Thats all I got.
  17. Yes. Earlier grills were solid chrome, or solid color, later ones have split with black bars in the middle of the "cross". http://www.thecarconnection.com/photos/dodge_journey_2009 http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/Dodge_Journey/2013/photos-exterior/ Click on the front end view pictures in those links.
  18. I got pics of mine, they are not any of the brands you mentioned though. Here's the link to the discussion thread. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/5421-canadians-ontarioanywhere-to-get-after-market-mats/
  19. The state I live in, it's not so much the cops, it's your vehicle won't pass inspection if the tints too dark on the drivr/passenger windows, and they charge you and extra $10 to inspect a car with aftermarket tint (35% is the limit). What a scam. Other states, like Florida, do not have tint laws and can have completely dark all the way around.
  20. Same here, it's the "wife's car" (even though I pay for it : ) If I drove it every day, I'd have had it to the dealer already for the funky transmission shifting and the annoying clunk going from park to drive, but since she drives it and does not complain, I leave it alone. If something breaks, I'll deal with it then. But, overall, I am extremely pleased with this vehicle. Comfortable, sharp looking, great performance, decent mileage for a 7 passenger CUV.
