  1. If you have tried searching other places (ebay, amazon, etc) and cant find them then, yes, dealer.

    Welcome to the forum!
  3. Perfectly happy with the mileage our DJ gives us considering the capabilities. If we were worried about mileage, we would have bought a prius.
  4. OK, If you have turned them on, what are you wanting to know? If you mean the dealer says you have to turn them on through the radio, either, like 2late4u says, take it back and make the lazy bozo's turn them on for you, or look in the owners manual, it should tell you. I would not have accepted it if I wanted them on and they did not turn them on for me.

    Hi

    Welcome to the community.
  7. I'm going to assume it is due to the CanBus system on these cars. The typical "wiring" you see on other/older cars carries voltages, therefore you need separate wires for each bulb filamant in a dual filament bulb. I'm only guessing here, but due to the CanBus (which is more of like a "data highway"), there are not separate wires and the computer just turns on whichever filament is needed on the same wire. Thats all I can think of. IIRC, everything electrical wise on these cars needs to be "CanBus" compatible.
  8. In know, right? On a 4 year old vehicle?
  9. You buy from a dealer or private seller? Any kind of warranty offered if from a dealer? How many miles? How do you know it needs an engine mount?
  10. Then I suggest a little more research is in order. Thats all I got.
  11. Yes. Earlier grills were solid chrome, or solid color, later ones have split with black bars in the middle of the "cross". http://www.thecarconnection.com/photos/dodge_journey_2009 http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/Dodge_Journey/2013/photos-exterior/ Click on the front end view pictures in those links.
  12. I got pics of mine, they are not any of the brands you mentioned though. Here's the link to the discussion thread. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/5421-canadians-ontarioanywhere-to-get-after-market-mats/
  13. The state I live in, it's not so much the cops, it's your vehicle won't pass inspection if the tints too dark on the drivr/passenger windows, and they charge you and extra $10 to inspect a car with aftermarket tint (35% is the limit). What a scam. Other states, like Florida, do not have tint laws and can have completely dark all the way around.
  14. Same here, it's the "wife's car" (even though I pay for it : ) If I drove it every day, I'd have had it to the dealer already for the funky transmission shifting and the annoying clunk going from park to drive, but since she drives it and does not complain, I leave it alone. If something breaks, I'll deal with it then. But, overall, I am extremely pleased with this vehicle. Comfortable, sharp looking, great performance, decent mileage for a 7 passenger CUV.
  15. Kuhmo's are just fine on the Journey. Lasting just under 40,000 miles sounds pretty good to me if they were OEM tires. Other's have had to replace them much sooner, others later. It's been stated over and over. Driving style and proper rotation/pressure/balancing has sooo much to do with how long tires last. We are at 15,000 with out OEM Kuhmo's right now. They still have the little nubs on them on the sidewalls. I rotate every 5,000 and check pressures monthly. I could prove myself wrong, but will keep everyone updated on how long I can make these last. Maybe we should start a poll to see the differences in how long folks can make OEM tires last....
  16. Yep. Must be purchased separately. I think it's kinda dumb myself. If I'd known they didnt include them on later models, I would have snatched them off our 09 before trading it. Do a search for various topics on the subject.
  17. Wonder how those will change your ride quality...what size you going from?
  18. Have you had the door wiring recall done? 09's had a recall to replace the entire door wiring harness due to multiple issues with power windows, locks, etc. This is an actual recall, no cost to you.
  19. NOOOO!! Dont take it to the dealer they will charge you to read the code (unless covered by warranty, then OK). You got places like Advance auto or Autozone there that reads codes for free?? Also, the code will not "roll off the computer" once it is set, it stays there and can only be cleared by a code scanner. Unless you disconnect the battery.
  20. I've never had a vehicle that produces water like this one does. Either that or the drains on the DJ are very efficient and not so much on other vehicles I have owned.
  21. I do my own tire rotations. Couple of floor jacks and 30 minutes later I'm done. Only time you will get free tire rotations is if you buy all 4 from a place like Discount tire.
