  1. Did you have to drop the mufflers to install that one?
  2. Cant say it enough. Get yourself a code scanner. Dealer will charge you @100 to read that code. You can buy a scanner for cheap these days and check the code yourself without having to go to the dealer.
  3. If the MIL comes on at all, anytime, it stores the code in the computer. Even if the light turns off on its own, the code will still be in there. The dealer should know this and scan it anyway. Get yourself a code scanner. You can buy basic ones for @$20. It's the best tool I have. Pays for itself the first time you use it. You could have someting as simople as a flaky sensor causing this. The scanner will tell you.
  4. Welcome to the forum!
  5. If the MIL is on, there has to be a code......
  6. Also the rear AC drains there. Mine leaves a puddle of water on the garage floor all the time.
  7. Thanks for the clarification. Have not had to change mine yet. When I do, I will make a "how to" thread.
  8. OK, Open your hood, see that huge plastic cover on the engine? On the left rear is a removable cap that says "remove for oil filter service", under this is the oil filter. It is an internal oil filter and only certain auto parts stores carry them (O'reillys for me and it's @$10) i.e. you cant get it at walmart. Not sure what socket size you need, but you just unscrew the filter from the engine using a socket and extension. Unfortunately you still have to get underneath to drain the oil.
  9. I dont think so. I checked this site and did not see any. http://www.mopar.com/dodge/journey/2014/
  10. It's a common problem across all Chrysler products. It's a little plastic lever that breaks over time from use. It's like this thing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DODGE-CHRYSLER-SHIFTER-INTERLOCK-LEVER-SPRING-AND-CLIP-REPLACEMENT-MOPAR-OEM-/151211887369?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AChrysler
  11. This is a "No Bash" zone. B)
  12. Yeah, you're either going to have to sand it down to the plastic underneath or buy another one.
  13. My Sebring has the battery buried behind the wheel well too. Gotta remove the wheel and front fender liner to get to it...lol...I love the top access oil filter. Many of my cars I've installed remote oil filters so I can change them from the top.
  14. Yep, the Journey would stomp my 94 Z28 6-speed...lol....
  15. Welcome to the forum!
  16. Spray some silicone or wd40 on the boot. If the noise goes away then it is truly just rubbing against itself.
  17. I have to say mine looks nothing like this either. I'm not ripping up carpet or pulling seats out to look for it, but underneath is still clean and shiny. Mr. Sabater, that looks like a flood vehicle. I'm curious how you got the dealer to "replace the car". You just said, "Hey look, it's rusty" and they said "Yep, here's a new car".....
  18. This has been discussed here: http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/5106-2014-journey-lowering-springs/?hl=lowering
  19. That is sharp looking! I sooooo want to get a blackk grill for mine....
  20. Don't know right off hand, but your owners manual should tell you how much you can safely haul/tow with your car. There is also the door sticker which lists things like GVWR and such that you also need to pay attention too.
