  1. Valve cover gaskets, water pump seal, Transmission leaking, etc. gotta find out what fluid is leaking and where it’s leaking from. It’s kinda difficult to guess without seeing the vehicle. Do you have a mechanically inclined friend that could help you inspect?
  2. He did say he’s had the brakes checked several times and they are good. Guess it depends on the person checking them’s definition of “good”.
  3. No idea. Not sure why not though. Welcome to the forum.
  4. Any auto parts store (or even walmart for that matter) will be able to match the correct size battery for you.
  5. Mine was a "knock" very similar to the sound of someone knocking on a wooden door.
  6. Probably a spammer, but I was giving him the benefit of the doubt.
  7. Welcome to the forum!

  10. Welcome to the forum. You can never go wrong by following the recommended maintenance stated in the manual provided by the manufacturer of the vehicle. Yes, dealers and shops will always try to up sell unneeded/unnecessary maintenance items, so be an informed consumer and educate yourself. If you just purchased the vehicle, it would be a good idea to go back through the mileage intervals and catch up on maintenance items unless you know for a fact (documentation) that a particular maintenance activity was performed.
  11. Welcome to the forum! Yep, those coolant overflow bottles do crack. Installed correctly or not. Post your concerns in the appropriate section(s) of the forum.
  12. Interstate used to be a great battery. Not so much anymore. I've had the best luck with walmart's everstart batteries. I had a 3 year battery that lasted 7 years.
