  1. We are answering your questions. At some point, the responsibility lies with you, the vehicle owner. We can offer suggestions, things to check, etc. But in the end, you have to decide how best to address your issue. We can't fix it for you.
  2. It needs to vent somewhere when a over pressure condition exists. If yours is blowing coolant out of that hose, there is something else going on to cause that condition. If the thermostat is good, the water pump is good, the cooling fan is working, it’s time to check the head gaskets as mentioned.
  3. We have these new car washes around here that only use microfiber "brushes". Does a fantastic job. Plus they have free vacuums. I use it regularly and never see any swirl marks. $16 and it does a better job than I can. Plus puts tire shine on as well. https://www.waveautowash.com/
  4. Go with MOPAR parts. Also, make sure you tell them the correct engine so you get the correct part. The 3.6L did not exist in 2009.
  5. Had our 3.6L for 5 years and almost 90,000 miles. Never had a tick. It's apparently NOT common.....
  6. Alternator went out on our 09 at about 70,000 miles. New ones were in the $350-400 at the time. Luckily we had the extended warranty so it only cost us the $100 deductible.
  7. They are massed produced, just like Taurus's, civics, etc back in the day. Used to couldn't spit without hitting a Taurus. All about the numbers.
  8. You would need to buy a wrecked donor vehicle with that option then transfer everything over. Basically rebuild the interior of the vehicle. Lots of time and expense. These are the kinds of things you want to make sure the vehicle you are purchasing is equipped with from the factory.
  9. Just get an OEM one and have the dealer install. That way you don't potentially void your warranty.

Timing belt only applies to the 3.5L.

    Sound system

That hurts to even try to read.
  12. Moved to the correct section. Well, first you need to open the hood and isolate where the ticking is coming from. Report back.
  13. If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "2010 Dodge Journey" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 2010 Dodge Journey navigation" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense...
  14. Sounds like an angry bee.....
  15. The transmission will "adapt" to driving style....maybe that has something to do with it. You can reset by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes or so. Maybe try that and see if it changes anything.
  16. Agreed. Dealer will try to upsell you lots of unnecessary services. Stick to whats in the manual.
