Is the sound coming from inside or outside the vehicle?

Did a muffler fall off?
-
You won't find any specifically for the Journey. There is no aftermarket performance support for these vehicles. You can replace the mufflers with performance ones for better sound.

Straight outa the manual: To Enter Remote Start Mode, Press and release the REMOTE START button on the RKE transmitter twice within five sec-onds. The vehicle doors will lock, the parking lights will flash and the horn will chirp twice (if programmed). Then, the engine will start and the vehicle will remain in the Remote Start mode for a 15-minute cycle. NOTE: • If an engine fault is present or fuel level is low, the vehicle will start and then shut down in 10 seconds

Sometimes quality control on aftermarket LED's is lacking....the supplied o rings can be different thicknesses, tabs not shaved correctly, etc. Or it could be the light socket itself.

Can't Unlock Maps

Understandable. I'm glad I never had Nav...or bluetooth. Seems like the majority of complaints are about those items. -

All over not having GPS? lmao... -
No there are not and no they are not the same. Virtually nil on aftermarket anything for these vehicles. As suggested, search eBay. That’s where you will find the cheap Chinese “custom” accessories for these vehicles.

Front speakers stopped working
jkeaton replied to TracyC's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
That sounds plausible and that’s where you should start looking. -
Check fuses and fusible links (if there are any). Sounds like you fried something, or something is not connected. Who replaced the battery and alternator? Why were they replaced? The more info you provide, the better we can try to assist you. Otherwise, you need to get it looked at by a shop if you don’t know how to check basic things, trace wiring, etc.

Not without a whole lot of work. But, with enough time and money, anything can be done. Start a build thread here and let us know how it goes.

Roof mount DVD player with sunroof

Be aware the Journey has “active” headrests. A part of the SRS. Check your manual and verify if hanging anything on them impacts their operation. -
What preceded this event?

Throttle body issue or gas pedal position sensor issue. Try this: Insert ignition key and turn to "ON" position but do not start the engine Wait for all the warning lights to go out. The check engine light may remain on. Slowly depress the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor. Slowly release the accelerator pedal until it is all the way back up at the rest position. Turn the ignition key to "OFF" position. Start the engine and test the throttle by see if the engine will throttle up If that does not work, you may need to replace the tb or position sensor, or there may be a flash update required by the dealer. Hard to say if there is no code present.

That's pretty cool. Not that you lost them, but that they came back. -

This platform has been around for 10 years. I'd hope someone has figured out how to boost one by now and actually do it.
