The payback for the money you are going to spend for a custom exhaust is minuscule. But, have at it.

How to close your account: Step 1: Log out Step 2: Don't log back in. It's really that simple.

It's the butt dyno that makes people think there are gains, especially after parting with big bucks. Spent money, has to work, right?

Check Engine even after Battery change

What is the code from the check engine light? -
Saying good bye to the 2010 Journey after 4 weeks
jkeaton replied to Mr. Fix it's topic in Owner Impressions
I would not use the word "plagued". That's kinda harsh...lol...and the majority of the issues are of clunks and thunks sounds from the strut bushings. Some people live with them, other people use it as an excuse to "never buy a dodge again". -
It’s in limp mode. Start by correcting the issues causing the codes.

Well you would have to remove anything that’s in the way. No one here has done their own engine change that I’m aware of. If you decide to go for it, make a thread detailing the steps so other members will know. Good luck!

Moved to the correct section. Get the same motor out of the same year and it will bolt right in.

What engines have been swapped in the 2015 dodge journey
jkeaton replied to Mikeforlife's topic in Engine & Transmission
None that I am aware of and there are no conversion kits either. Not the platform the majority of owners want to LS swap.... -
Thats a good price for that mileage. I say go for it. Totally pleased with mine.

What are the wanting for it? Got any pictures?

Good luck! -
It is hardly "common". More common complaints are about maps getting corrupted or HVAC blowing hot on one side, cold on the other, clunking front end and transmission noises, which are mainly annoyances rather than "leave you stranded on the side of the road" issues. Sure, there are other things that can go wrong, as with any vehicle. Look into a warranty provided by your bank if you are financing, or look into other warranty companies. You are by no means bound to using the used car dealerships warranty company.

Ahh...the internet. It's got to be true then. lol....hardly "horror"stories" there. More like inconveniences. Run the same search for any other vehicle make/model. Yes, things can go wrong on any vehicle. I'm on my second DJ. Nothing major out of either. Get an extended warranty, it will pay for itself in the long run (Factory warranty just for Bram)

You need to find another dealer then.

Dealer certified was what I was referring to in my above post. Those criteria can vary wildly from dealer to dealer. So the question is, dealer or factory certified?
-
Most tire stores will have the tool that syncs the sensor to the onboard module.

Glad you found the issue.

You state: "We just replaced the battery and there is energy in it (tried to jump) any ideas what it could be??". It has energy? Meaning you had it tested? You tried to jump? What happened when you did that?

Every dealer will have their own set of rules to deem a vehicle "certified". Best to check with each one. IMO, it's nothing more than a marketing gimmick desigend to lull you into a false sense of security about a particular vehicle.

Unfortunately there is not a lot out there.
