Can you plug in a 500 gb portable Hard drive with music on it into the USB port? Or is that to large? Never tried it but if it works I will buy one. Thanks

I have been contemplating putting that cd less pioneer unit in the glove box and remoting the faceplate to the empty pocket! That unit is only like 3" deep, I wanted to use the pocket for the whole stereo but behind the pocket there isn't enough room.

I may sell my Audiocontrol unit then and get the Pac and put in a in dash equalizer to get signal to my amps, since the Pac unit makes the equalizer adjustability on the stock stereo useless.

Yeah I kind of noticed a decrease in sound clarity, they are pioneer 4 ways, my 12' Avenger had a 7" pioneer dvd player I installed, but when I went to stock before I traded it in the 4-6X9 3 way pioneers sounded really good with the stock stereo! It had the plain jane stereo to! I was hoping for the same in the 13' Journey. Fail! My Audiocontrol LCQ6 is pretty much the same thing as what your using but half the price, so I hope it will work. So they could not get the speaker leads behind of the stereo to work, the Pac was the only option? So I'm guessing they at least used the speaker output wires behind the stereo for the amps?

Can you use y's on the rca's? I am looking to 4 channel my doors and 2 channel for my subs. My Stock stereo distorts at 18+ even worse with the ipod! Whom did your install? Best buy? Do you have any more info on the whole 50 watt load resistor for the stereo outputs?

So if I wire a 50 watt 2 ohm resistor in line with the stereos + speaker leads to each speaker it will see it as a load? Otherwise it doesn't send a signal? So it's kind of like having led lights and needing the resistor so the Canbus don't freak out? But why the ef did it fry out my stereo just running the inputs to the oem integration unit? Dodge and their frickin Canbus crap makes the vehicles impossible to customize!

So where you mounting the 4.3 inch climate & settings panel? How would the tablet work as a stand alone unit? I wonder why my stereo fried over just using the speaker outputs then? Wtf, keep us updated on what the solution comes out to be. Thanks

But the Pac part is for getting a signal, if you have a oem amp, I bought my Audiocontrol LCQ for the signal, equalizer, stock bass rollout cancelor. To me it'd be kind of pointless to have the Audiocontrol unit then. Plus you lose the Treble, mid, bass levels on your stock radio with the Pac.

Maybe they should try getting a signal from the speaker itself, that way you know there's no other issues getting a signal. It's like - temps here or I'd be all over trying to get mine going. Still waiting for my other stereo to come in since the other got fried using the leads out of the back of the radio! What a pita! Why can't Metra make a turbo kit for ours! :'(

Ok the speaker leads coming out of the back of the stereo don't supply any signal? Yes I have everything wired correctly, no sound or signal at all! Canbus related? The speaker leads from the stereo must go to some module before the actual speakers? Wtf!

Anyone add a hi/lo or audiocontrol LCQ-1 yet? I tried patching in behind the stereo for the high outputs to the LCQ but I'm not getting any sound thru them? :-(

Really? My intake on my speed was a Mazdaspeed brand part genius. And I have seen many dyno's online with that 25 whp gain! And Ford racing has their own intakes, they come stock on the high end mustangs! Sorry but you put a shitty flowing air filter or one that doesn't flow enough against a better flowing one with higher flow it's gonna gain some power! Granted nothing near as much as a turbo car. That YouTube video was a joke! They didn't even give proper ecu adjustment curves, they just slapped the next one on! And really no filter at all flows as much as the stock intake? Right!

I'd like to see some detailed pics! How is the fitment? FYI people the intake can be had for $235 online. I was gonna buy one for the 12' Avenger that I had, bought a Magnaflow exhaust instead.

There's always a lil play room with the ecu and more air flowing thru the intake, not much maybe 10 hp but that works for me! According to k&n and a few dyno the drop in filter gained 7 hp, the full piped intake by mopar performance was said to gain 10. As far as water in the intake most models of vehicles I've owned (which was many) never had any felt tunes in them! The whole front mount snorkel intake has been in Japanese cars for many many years! I've had true cold air intakes in many of my cars & trucks with no water issues and they are down low! So no worries about it up that high! Plus the k&n has a oiled filter, you know what they say about oil & water! I've had a fully bolted speed3 that laid down 305 hp and 400+ ftlbs of tq so I know all about for forced induction. A intake on that car alone gained 25 whp.

My 12' Avenger had the exact same felt liner tube, it's there to reduce noise, I removed mine in that car & in my current 13' journey as well as added a k&n drop in filter. It produced a lil more growl. I'm wondering if the new k&n kit for the Avenger will fit on the Journey?

It sounds complicated but it's really easy, it would be harder with the wheel on! I replaced my oe with a 800cca Optima battery, starts so much better in the -temps!

What size of tires did you go with?

Seems normal, mine does the high pitched noise also, also did it in my 12' 3.6 Avenger I had.

Is there a better way of getting at the wires in a cluster than pulling out all the center console stuff?
