Mine was only slightly more than this with 24 miles on it brand new...

While I agree that they offer unneeded service, I have never encountered a dealer that suggests it NEEDS to be done. I wouldn't call that ripping people off or being dishonest...just suggesting a service that they offer.

I'm just over 41,000 on my 2014 with a similar experience. Had the recall performed on the ABS module and a PCM update made (since I was already there) and that is it.

I have had great success with them on heavy vehicles. I would avoid Drilled ones though... -

Cool, thanks! -
Should I complain about the factory paint job?

Was looking at one of these while I had mine in for the ABS recall... Gorgeous. -
I believe in the tooth fairy.

This is an oil level code I assume, based on jkeaton's reply? Was the light blinking?? This is probably the easiest indicator to tell you whether or not it is okay to drive the vehicle (and it should state this in your OWNER'S MANUAL). If the light is blinking, turn off the vehicle immediately. If it is a solid light, get it checked ASAP, but it is okay to drive the vehicle in the meantime. I would agree that this is probably a faulty sensor, but make sure your oil level is correct.

Care to expand? Got a link to a process, or a process name I can refer to in a search? -

Well done. How did you do the clear corner reflector lens? -
They are, but I think they both fit as long as you're not concerned about the cargo cover.

2011 SXT Front wheel drive in the snow. All season tires
Lobitz68 replied to 2011DodgeRamJourney's topic in Owner Impressions
Waseca, MN?? That's in southern MN where it's fairly warm in the winter! You have a point on getting rear ended, I guess my point was that it MAY help me to avoid an accident by providing more traction to stop or by making it harder to lose control performing some maneuvers. Either way, assuming I drive to the conditions (which I do), they are more helpful than not. Of course we still don't have any snow that has stuck around this year. They did perform great last night when the temp dropped quickly and the roads by my house in the burbs were like an ice rink. -
I have removed the floor on mine to install wiring for the subwoofer... it is pretty easy to get everything out. You do need to remove the side panels first, but I think it was like 2 or 3 screws per side and a bunch of snap fittings. Quick and simple.

that sucks...

2011 SXT Front wheel drive in the snow. All season tires
Lobitz68 replied to 2011DodgeRamJourney's topic in Owner Impressions
You have... Either that or someone else told me the exact same story one time. This year is the first year that I have bought snow tires. I drive according to the weather, but with all of the driving we do in the winter, it doesn't hurt to have a little extra assurance. Certainly people have been safely driving on snow fore dozens of years without them, but my biggest concern during the winter is other drivers. If they help shave 10 feet off of my stopping distance and prevent an accident, then they were worth every penny. -
why would someone deface such a beautiful car with that hideous decal??
-
NO!!! Not in the fogs please....
-
The 2 row version does have a lot more floor storage... I have thought about this too, but mostly because I have NEVER used the third row and would love the extra storage. I think you can just replace the floor, though the 2 row does have the option for a cargo cover. In order to get the cover I believe you would need to replace the side panels in the rear as well.

These things get great mileage... I do a lot of in town driving and drive in a fairly aggressive manner, and I hit 24 mpg combined in the summer and 20 mpg combined in the winter like clockwork (keep in mine winter fuel blends and winter tires are eating some mileage). That's way better than my Ram was getting and close to what my wife's Avenger gets.

Do you have another dealer nearby? That seems a little higher than I've seen. Also, if you just bought 2 vehicles from the same dealer, I would contact the sales manager and tell him you had to add something to the vehicle and would like a courtesy update. Seems like an hour of labor could be comp'd pretty easily...especially since it won't take anywhere near that long to do. Butter him/her up a little; I bet it works.

Morimoto MH1 7.0
Lobitz68 replied to vozaday's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
I believe that is the only difference. I don't know how the canbus part plays with the Dodges though. The capacitor should be wired into the "in" side of the relay. It's a decent size relay though, what do you have laying around? -
Correct. As bramfrank said you need to change the setting using the stereo display.
